It is very possible that I am mistaken, so if anybody already knows the reason and has a fix please let me know. 

 

In short, if I install Albion on my PC with Nightmist already installed, I am no longer able to run Nightmist. At first I thought it might be an issue with compatibility settings, but no matter how I set it up, even using compatibility for WinXP, it will not run. This is the second time I have run into this issue, both times on Win10 installations, both times only after installing Albion Online. After installing Albion Online, when I click the Nightmist.exe file, either from the desktop/start menu shortcuts or from the actual exe file in the installation folder, I get a short loading wheel indicating something is trying to happen but Nightmist never actually starts. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and installing to a different location (such as C:\users). None of that seems to help at all. 

 

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Is this definitely down to Albion? I have the same issue with Win10 and can't get Nightmist running.

I have uninstalled Albion, reinstalled Nightmist, then run the updater exe from the install folder and Nightmist worked just fine on my Win10 machine. Reinstalled Albion and was no longer able to play Nightmist. I would click the exe, right click -> run as admin, tried all compatibility options, still nothing. Again uninstalled Albion, reinstalled Nightmist then updated and it runs fine. Unless I am missing something, installing Albion seems to either overwrite or update something that NM needs and is not compatible.
