There needs to be a higher grade mana like a stone that gives 300 mp for use, because as it stands if you take a team full of healers to zeum or something you can last 30 minutes at the most before you run outa mana. I'am sure there's a downside to this but yeah w.e.

Mana Core gives 300 mana!

The Lodestone was designed to cover this problem - if you ask me, having limited mana does encourage players to be a little bit more conservative in how they spend it. If, however, higher-grade mana and healing potions were introduced, they would have to hard to find and fairly expensive, but not as expensive as the Nightshade Elixir.

(Currently, the best healing potion, other than the Nightshade Elixir, is the Lifewater Potion (brewed via Alchemy)... mana-wise, you have Lodestone, Glowing Mushroom and Mana Core, although the latter two are considered rare)

Lifewater Potions, Mana Cores, Glowing Mushrooms and Nightshade Elixers cannot be considered as mana crystals/healing potions in normal use, simply because to aquire one typically requires the expenditure of more health/mana than it actually gives, and to aquire an inv full needs more time than you will actually spend in the are you intend using them in. Especially Mana Cores, which need you to go into one of hardest areas in game, and Lifewater Potions, where the recipie for them is so rare theres only 2-3 people ingame apart from staff (that includes ex-staff such as yourself) that know it, and it trades for HALF A MILLION GOLD in normal nm......
