An estimated 1.5 million Americans have peanut allergies, and emergency rooms treat about 30,000 cases of food-related anaphylactic shock each year.

It is pretty wild what people come up with tho.

It does make perfect sense actually. I am allergic to peanuts, so is my daughter. While I just get a mild rash if consuming too much, my daughter, although she likes the taste of peanut butter (she used to be able to eat it when she was younger) has far more trouble, so we had to completely remove any products containing peanuts from her diet. Replacement products that come close to the real thing in taste but do not contain the ingredient causing the allergic reaction are real alternatives. After all, we do have soy milk for lactose intolerant people.

I'll tell you what as soon as I see this product in my grocery store I'll pick it up and let you know how it is and really is it that bad of a product? I'm sure if I was allergic to peanuts I'd want an alternative so I could still have peanut butter as long as it tastes like the real stuff and really whats so wrong with having a peanut butter alternative when we have all these other alternatives for people with other allergies? It's a good idea and more people should try and come up with alternatives for people with allergies cause I know personally how much it sucks to be allergic to certain foods and not be able to eat them...(used to be allergic to peanuts and almonds at one point in life)

No, it's called non-dairy cream and non-dairy whipped topping. I have a container of each in my fridge.

right well its usually called lactose free here, forgot that you were a foreigner. Fat free doesn't help much, you want the stuff low on other things that actually make you fat

What I am having difficulty is why have something 'like' something its not anyway?

What I mean is, you come along and you try out peanut butter. Upon waking up in the hospital recovering from shock with oven gloves taped to your wrists to prevent you from ripping yourself to shreds sratching your allergic rash, you go hmmm guess that means I can't have any more peanut butter, I wonder what tastes like it?

Being allergic to eggs, I know I'm inclined to give them a wide berth and have not been scouring the shelves looking for 'I Cant Believe Its Not Eggs'.

And if you are off butter for what ever reason, are you so weak willed that you need a crutch that you'd go out and buy 'I Cant Believe They Buy This Slop, That Doesn't Taste Remotely Like Butter, Just Because We Put This Idiot Name On The Packaging'?

I actually like "I can't believe its not butter" and Country Crock better than real butter. I hate real butter.

No.

Nothing wrong with margarine at all. My problem lies with margarine passing itself off as butter, like 'I cant believe its not butter'. Why cant he believe it? Is he dead, or have absolutely no sense of taste? Maybe his tongue was ripped out, cas anyone who has ever had the misfortune of tasting the greasy, chemical slop, will tell you that it does not remotely taste of butter.
