Could there be something like an alert system? I'll explain.

If you're trying to sell a crit here on the forum, and you need to know when someone gets online, but you can't add them to friend when they're not on..So could it be possible to add them to friends when they aren't on, or like have an alert anyway, so you can see when they're on.

Zeppelin, when you suggest an idea. Try typing it out so it reads well, before posting. Just a suggestion. Oh, and please always put a title that relates to the thread, otherwise it may get overlooked by some.

About the idea, I suggested something similar previously. But it wasn't put it, for various reasons (I'll find the thread in a moment). Also, staff have the ability to use a command similar to this already.

Ah, believe it or not it's one of my old bookmarks ^^;; One of Penguins old crit selling threads is also... I must do something about that. Either way it made it quite easy to find for me ^^

Alternately typing 'alert' into the search on suggestions works too

I liked the idea; I was always hoping to find a way around the problem. Never did though

I have a solution...Don't know if it would work though....

Maybe you could do /alert [name] and then when the other player logs on it would be something like Zeppelin has set an alert for when you log on. Do /accept to accept the alert. It wouldn't alert me until /accept was entered, and then when entered it would show.

However, could be abused, by alert spamming... But that's solved by only allowing level 20+ to set alerts, and banning/deletion.

edit: nor eason to get pissed when somebody shows your idea isn't necessary at all.
