How about a weapon with the same base damage as a dotw. Since we all know it doesnt hit very hard. Make it only able to be equipped after lvl 25 as well. Make this available to all classes but thieves since they have their own. As a matter of fact you could put in shop for 350k or make it a drop at a small percentage. Like say for instance in the catacombs. That way its not just a dark mist potion. I think it would make that area used more often. Make Herric drop whatever % it has for dark mist potion and then like a .05% drop rate for the other weapon. The weapon could be.


Silver Staff of the Winds. Can be used by druids, rangers, berserkers, paladins, clerics, and fighters, Description: This platinum silver staff has been blessed by the gods to give its combatants a little extra to help them stay alive when taking long journeys or fighting nemesing foes., Level needed to equip it: 25, Magical: No, Vamparic: 0.2, Armor: 0, Strength modifier: 0, Intelligence modifier: 0, Dexterity modifier: 0, Constitution modifier: 0, Wisdom modifier: 0, Charisma modifier: 0, Poison chance: 0, Poison/30s damage: 0, Monster damage table: , Mana leech: .

Only downfall would be that rangers cant use rapid fire with it being that its not a bow.

I think this would honestly even out alot of the classes ingame. It might hurt clerics a little but tbh how often do you even see a cleric taking a party training anyway? Only time clerics are needed is lvl 24 and under, and for certain larger bosses.

Should have just said classes that cant use dotw. Spider staff doesnt make a big deal unless you use a druid and are morphed.

I don't support anything further nerfing clerics. There are lots of things that different classes could use to help balance them, I do not think this is it. I believe we need to fix the underlying issues of Fighers, and Pallys. Besides that I think everything is balanced out for the most part. I think before any further major changes are made, people need to get more classes to the high level's that we're talking about. Every class has advantages at different levels. Level 21 zerks can own quite a bit. Lvl 29 mages owned everything and there was a big out cry. Thieves get their 7th stam at lvl 35, and they're aren't many other classes that have reached that 7th stam, and even tho they're lower level can put up a good fight against lvl 35/36 thieves.

The issue of dotw is not why thieves have become "overpowered". The reason people think they're overpowered is because there's a nutsload of 7 stam thieves going around clicking people. Well no nuts a 7 stam thief is gonna assassinate a low hp'd 6 stam mage. It's not even like it happens every time.

People need to really sit down and think about what a class is lacking instead of *whine, whine, whine, post pissy stuff*.

Not saying this is a whiny post. Just saying I'm sick of people whining about thieves not addressing the real issues at hand.

Anyway... Not supported.

This would take away all the training advantages that thiefs have except for being covert and clicking stuff. I say it evens out the training ability of all classes. Since thieves can train without a cleric why shouldnt everyone else be able to?

When was it posted? A long time ago or recently. I think staff should atleast look into giving other classes some type of vamparic weapon.

I'll beg to differ on the "mages don't get clicked everytime" part of that post. Before Deceit was sold, I got on it and played around and such. I ran into Unforgiven while he was level 33 twice and was clicked both times, even with AoP on, giving me 150 armor. I also ran into Lethal_Dose 3 or 4 times and was clicked everytime as well. Usually when a lv 33 or even 35 mage goes up to a 35+ thief, it's clicked spite the 150+ armour and dex mods.
Also, take a look at Wraith. Before Sam owned it(not including him because I haven't seen him PK with it or even die), it got owned hardcore by 35+ thieves and I even beat it once on a different class, can't quite remember what it was.
You say you're sick of the crying, yet when it was us on mages, the server cried about it and caused them to get nerfed because most of the playerbase didn't use them, yet the ones who did, they were "overpowered" when they weren't.
I've seen thieves beat druids even with the thief a level or two lower. As was posted on my topic, Will on his lv 33 dwarf thief without any equipment beat their lv 34 druid with equipment on.
You don't think that's overpowered? Wait........ You're a thief, of course they're not.....

I like the idea of a vamparic weapon for all classes, even if they were given to all, clerics wouldn't be as useless as many of you think, there are still alot of hard bosses on this server that haven't been killed yet, or just can't be killed, it would be good mainly for training purposes, although it's kind of scary how well a spider staff does work on a druid already, all classes could benefit from it.

For fighters, give them a 25 base damage weapon, like a halberd, with 0.1 vamparic (only because fighters with vamparic weapons pretty much rule) and increase the lvl to equip to 25.

For druids, base it on the hawk talon, remove the mana leech, and add 0.15 vamparic, leave the base damage at 22, drop the lvl to equip to 25.

just base the weapons from existing ones, change a couple things around, and there you go, seems easy enough for me, i don't think that would require coding from jlh, and probobly not very much work for the staff.

Is the problem that thieves have them or other classes don`t?

Do we want to make what many call a nonchallenging game even easier by adding more vamperic weapons thus making it easier?

I vote for removing all vamperic abilities on all weapons except cobalt and others that might be crafted using a cobalt as one of the items needed.

Almost all topics seem to have someone pointing out how ez it is to level. But yet all suggestions seem to be geared at making it even easier. Why don`t we have a function added to the roller that once a character is rolled it comes with in it's inventory a lottery ticket with a random chance of getting anywhere between 250 and 250 mil exp? :ph34r:

That was actually the first thing that was posted about the dotw issue. And the same thing happend aka didn't happen.

Anything is better than nothing, the game is a joke, have you seen how many people actually play? maybe this will add some fun to the game and more people might start playing again, who knows..

Anyways you're idea will probably be shot down like everything else, maybe its jus me but its like everything anyone ever suggests is shot down fast by staff because their too worried about "balance" yet could you say 1alt is balanced? maybe they should lighten up and try to introduce some fun into the game...

It is hard to do this without unbalancing som classes,but hey they alrdy are !
Make 10 mil weapons for all classes individualy,csotw is only good for fighters,druids,thieves ,zerks.Can add mods for rest like 2 intel for mages.

Suported because it will make people train more and not just thief druid mage.

Lets just come to reality people...nothing is gonna get added in yall might as well face the facts that your all just making topics to bs about the same ole crap over and over in hopes that you might get your point across (maybe you will maybe you wont) but most of the time everyone ends up talking crap in the posts and it falls off. the only thing that your gonna end up doing is making it worse in the long run like it slowly has in the past years so just sit and play the game try and level up eventually the 35+ guilds will go in then u can worry bout that lvl your crit to 40 if your lucky and move on.
