I wouldn't use AoH on a mage but...

I think you're missing Boots of Time... or at the least Ravenbones :P

A Cats Eye Amulet might be better off for a Mage, if you can live with less Dexterity. Gloves of Vigor certainly help with their Wisdom boost.

sell aoh in shop=750k
put aoh on site for 850k=sold very fast

dont waste an aoh by sellin back to shop

GoV's are good for the +wis, but don't forget that you're -1 dex from the BoTs...

Edit- that's assuming that you are smart and buy a Cat's eye for your mage.

I personally wouldnt use bot's due to the dex -1, seems to outweigh the 6 armor, but that's just me, lol

Cats eye ammy is the way to go though.

With AoP, 6 armour can make an exponential difference in armour, making dexterity next to useless.

With a decked up Mage with armor 100+, does it make a difference if you dodge? If anything actually hits you, it does minor damage and can quickly heal.

It's a lot to consider...

Every mage is going to wear Spider Gauntlets, highest armor and the +1 dex helps, also the cheap cost makes them favored over Gloves of Vigor.

So, figuring you're a 4-stat elf because thats whay my mage is, your important stats look like this now: 21 20 18 20

So, you think, Boots of time- highest armor, but the -1 dex...so you figure
21 19 18 21

Now it comes to the issue of AoH, Cat's Eye, or Hades amulet- do you evade more, do more damage, or have more armor? +1 dex will make you evade a bit more often, +1 intel will give you 2 more damage a round, and +3 armor will give you around 7 more armor than either amulet. It's a rough choice, but you're either looking at stats of 22 19 18 21, 21 20 18 21, or 21 19 18 20.

I can't say what I'll do when Deimos is arch... I might not go for Boots of Time though, rather boots of faith, and most likely a Cats eye.. so that my stats are
22 20 18 21... higher damage, less fizzles, more evade. It does, however, sacrifice 10 armor because of not using BoT's.

I guess it all depends how much money you're willing to spend on your mage- if you're gonna be someone willing to buy armor bracelets and a set of RoA's, or if you're gonna just have the basic equip for it. Theres a bunch of different ways you can look at it, i guess. I personally just don't think BoT's are that good for a mage, simply because they cancel out the dex. from sg's.

+1 intel will give you 2 more damage a round

+1 int = 2 max damage per stamina, so effectively 10 more damage per round. Which can make a HUGE difference.
