Ok i get alot of pop ups and i think this is whats causing it. its called WildTangent Web Driver and ad aware keeps finding it so i delete it. Then i go to add/remove programs and see that its there. So i click on it and to add/remove and the little window with the list on it refreshes and its still there. Its causing alo of pop ups etc and i think its changing my homepage. Any advice on how i can get rid of it?

Uninstall it, then run Ad-Aware. If that doesn't work try a virus scan. I had something like this before and couldn't get rid of it and I had to format.

WildTangent is used for playing games on msn, yahoo, pogo.com etc...
It doesn't cause pop-ups or changes to your home page. every time you play a game on a site you re-download WildTAgent because you keep deleting it.

Dan is right. Depending on the site and the version they use there could be problems.

Version 4.0 has the following:
Description:
NGSSoftware has reported a vulnerability in WildTangent Web Driver, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to boundary errors within various functions in the WTHoster and WebDriver modules. These can be exploited to cause buffer overflows by passing an overly long filename as argument.

Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

The vulnerability has been reported in version 4.0. Prior versions may also be affected.

It is recommended that users manually download 4.1 at the following link.

After reading up on this file and now knowing where and why it is on my computer I wouldn`t think the popups are related to it. Most gaming sites have sponsors. They pay sites such as Pogo to advertise thier site. Pogo was smart in that they make you look at the adds during intermission between games. Other sites aren`t so smart yet and randomly generate popups to advertise thier sponsors site or products.

No even free online gaming sites are free anymore. In one way or another we have to pay with time or money. In this case it is the time it takes to click the x on a popup.
