I'm not afraid to die. I'm afraid of how I'll die.

I must admit I never thought about it like that . . . and I agree fullyWe're all bound to die some time. I'm curious as to how I'll die. I think I know what I might die of.. unless someone comes along and kills me first. ;s

I think in life that there is a pattern. If you've seen the movie Final Destination, you know what I'm talking about.
Death is embedded in your destiny. How you die, though, is what you can't see coming. For example, you could possibly lead a long life till you die of old age or someone could go mad and kill them because someone had called that person something demoralizing. Things don't just happen, they're meant to happen.

I am not afraid of death i know it is comin sooner or later.
I have this quote from a book i had just read in English this year, "No one realizes life until they are already dead, they are blind in life."

But seriously if i knew i was going to die it wouldn't scare me, In fact if my cancer was to ever come back and they were to tell me, even though when maha wakes up and reads this she will yell at me, I would rather death than to ever go through the chemo again.

What I am scared of is having to die painfully. I want it to be painless and peaceful, but unfortunately we don't choose that ourselves.
Another thing that scares me is dieing before my kids are old enough to take care of themselves. The thought of them having to grow up without me scares me more than anything.

The 'afterlife' was used as a comfort to our ignorant ancesters (and was a great way of keeping them in line as well, in that the bosses (priests, imans, whatever, could say, 'if you don't do what I say, you'll get the crappy afterlife!')).
But of course us enlightened 21st century people know better than to pander to such primitive, primordial fears, as spiders, heights and death!
And therein lies the paradox (and why supersitious religious mumbo-jumbo still holds such sway over our lives), because not to believe in an afterlife, or threat of a crappy one, makes the long, sleepless nights, very lonely indeed!

As a lawyer (and therefore on the side of the devils) I have never been asked to 'disprove' anything. I either prove what I am saying or my argument fails, its as simple as that.it has not been disproven either.
Sry for going off tangent.
Its probably our ego's that make us fear death. No other animal fears death because they have no concept of self.

Everyone has a purpose in life and you might as well live up to it, though some people still don't realize it....

Yes dinner, we do have thoughts and feelings outside of the game. We just don't show them in game a lot. Now get back on that plate! Is my purpose to be afraid of no longer having a purpose?

Well, not everyone realizes that they have a purpose. I've given myself some thought and I don't know my purpose. I do whatever I think is the best logical thing for me to do. The way I see it, is that whatever you do, you do your best at it; even if it's play nightmist, write stories, use your imagination, draw, make a movie, or something that could impact another person. There's lots you can do, you're the one to decide which one you like the most and do the best at.Is my purpose to be afraid of no longer having a purpose?

You've been able to avoid that happening for 100000000000000000000000000000 times ever since you came into the world. So, I guess you've cheated your death that many timesEverytime my heart beats, im afraid that its gonna explode.
Otherwise im not afraid.
