Well, I've spoken with JLH, we need to get the rules laid out so that he can program it.

My explanation:

1. Players start the game, and one of them is the dealer.

2. Consider the players in a circle by when they start the game.
Dealer, P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, etc.
The dealer button rotates around the circle (not the player, but the action of dealing the cards).
So the next hand P1 will be the dealer, etc.

3. P1 puts up the small blind. (this should be set by players, default of 500 gold)

4. The player after that puts in the big blind (double the small blind).

5. The cards are dealt.
Two cards go to each player. Only the player getting the cards can see them, not other players.

6. The players after the big blind decide if they want to play.
They can fold or put in gold equal to the big blind or highest bet. They can also raise it above the big-blind by betting.

7. The betting gets back around to P1 (small blind)...he can match gold to the highest bet/big blind or fold.

8. The big blind gets to decide if he wants to bet more, which would go around the circle again, or see the flop.

9. The flop.
3 cards are shown face up to all players. These are cards that everyone can work with and use.

10. The betting, checking, and folding begins again.
I think it starts with the person who made the highest bet. So if everyone just matched the big-blind, P2 would start the betting.

11. The turn.
A 4th card is put out for everyone to view/use.

12. Betting, checking, and folding goes around again.

13. The river.
A 5th card is turned over for everyone to view/use.

14. The final round of betting is done.

15. Players can use any 5 of the 7 cards they have available.
They have the two cards in their hand and the 5 community cards that everyone can see.

Winning hands from best to worst:
Royal Flush - Straight (cards in order) flush with ace high (so 10, J, Q, K, and Ace of the same suit)

Straight Flush - The same but any 5 suited straight

4-of-a-kind- 4 of the same value card (2, 2, 2, 2, X)

Full House - 3 of one value card, 2 of another value card (4, 4, K, K, K)

Flush - 5 cards of the same suit not in order (J, 5, 3, 8, Q of the same suit)

Straight - 5 cards in a row, not suited (4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or the sort)

3-of-a-kind - 3 cards of the same value (Q, Q, Q, X, X)

2 pair - 2 cards of one value, 2 cards of another value (J, J, Ace, Ace, X)

Pair - 2 cards of the same value (3, 3, X, X, X)

High Card- Highest value card (A, X, X, X, X)

Can anyone explain it better or in a clearer and fuller manner?
You don't need to mention the things like burning a card, etc because the cards would be random when done by the server. However, the order of operations is VERY important.
Wisdom is the principle thing. Therefore, get wisdom, and in all your getting, get understanding.

Betting starts with the person left of the dealer, i.e. the person who is going to deal next.(Only for the flop, turn and river betting obviously). Also don't forget minimum bet is what the big blind is. Then there are obviously the rules about All in to be defined.

Bump.

Yep, I'm going through old suggestions that I think would be good for the game, but yet was never put in place.

That is a fair bump. This would be pretty sweet to have in-game.
I didn't realize that I'd ever actually typed up the rules, which is what JLH said was needed to code it in...

I knew this was brought up before. I would probably log on to play and chat, rather than just chat.

Great idea, always has been. Not much initiative to be coded though.
