Enlightenment

Casting Message: You cast Elightenment on yourself; you feel at one with your magic.

Casting Message on a player: You cast Energise on [player]; you sense them radiating magic from their body.

Lets not start basically screaming out "Make my mage dominate everything in Nighmist super-easy!" just cause they're a little tough to train lower level.

I can only think of Druids being a little hindered when they fight mages...but they can just leech the mana from Mages anyways.
There are also monsters that use magical attacks (do monsters even use magic to attack you?) but I don't think that would cause any problems.
Lets not start basically screaming out "Make my mage dominate everything in Nighmist super-easy!" just cause they're a little tough to train lower level.
I know mages were given that little boost that they needed...but don't you find it a bit odd that Clerics and Druids both have more spells than Mages? I know it doesn't sit right with me. I'm not asking for these super powerful Devastate spells...I just want Mages to do more than simply make people Invisible and cast Beam.

Are you complaining about zerkers being overpowered, or are you talking about righteous fury being overpowered? 30+ strength on a zerker can only be acheived one way.
Say it like this and it doesn't sound so menacing does it - Having a zerker with 21 strength, no spells and a halberd coming at you isn't overpowered?? No.
Common mistake being made on the forum recently, specially when discussing berserkers.
You tell me which is more overpowered without any outside help.
Mage or Zerker. Everyone with half a brain cell knows the answer to that one.
If you can't think of anything decent to add to the discussion (about mages if you didn't notice) then why bother posting at all. If you think berserkers are overpowered without the use of any other class for spells, with a normal weapon like a halberd (as not everyone can get bot) then you can raise it in another thread.

I fail to see the link i'm afraid, especially considering it's not the berserker that is overpowered but a spell useable by a completely different class.......oh well.

100*5 = 500, able to almost always round anything but a zerker.
I'd say, if it took away from other stats (dexterity and ac), because when you're... umm.. occupied totally with your magic, you're not going to concentrate on defending and dodging.

A clannie of mine has an arch mage and a Cats Eye Amulet; 1 point intel makes a difference of 2 damage. So, with +2 intel, you will only do 4 more damage per attack. 4*5=20, not much difference.
