I'm sure someone has noticed how daggers damage varys alot, yet the weapon Katana gives a solid damage range that is reasonable for the BD, my lvl 27 thief can do 140-280 with a Ivory Dagger, but with a Katana even with less BD does not go below 190, not in about 30 tries, and Ivory Dagger does (usually) 180-220 most often, I'm sure that Ivory Dagger can do more than a Katana, but a Katana, give or take acouple hits, does more, so I ask staff, is it possible to make daggers damage not have such a big and sucky range?

The equation used to determine the hit strength. I guess that's where the solution lies.. The larger the BD, the larger the variable within the equation- After working out the mid point damage..
If you follow my babble?
Say, the equation could be:
lvl+(BD*2)*3.75 - With hidden variable, give or take the BD*2:
Max hit with arch halfling, using Emerald Dagger: Calculator: 29*2+30*3.75 = 330
Lowest possible hit: Calculator: 30*3.75 = 112.5
But obviously, this is all speculation. Not truth.
P.S: Working it out with Katana puts the equation to pot.. Like I said, is just an example. Would like to hear from JLH on this, if possible.
