I would have thought that you players would be grateful for the staff running off-schedule events... I'm disappointed. Perhaps we should stop running events completely for a while; no special prizes to anyone then, totally fair.

i think our mistake was searching the vallanilaz and tirantek area 1st, not whoring eastern keys we just did that as we thought of where 2 go hehe. and i couldnt believe it took people so long 2 fight the zombie lol. meh was a fun quest, googled so many riddles hahaUK here
To get everyone to log on at the same time... You should all get a passport and move to england
To me this sounds like you're just jealous... because you had no chance of getting such items... and so you complain and use everyone to back your motives in which you complain.

That is exactly why were complaining, because we don't want to move to america just to be online for quests lol.
combusta/ste, you would have got there before us if you had gone in search of area earlier instead of ho-ing eastern keys (and hence leading my camoed tracking druid to that monster we just could not find.....)
How many did you end up with, in the end?
ah the intelligence of combusta, the envy of all nightmist players...
o shut up tony

Be happy that staff are still interacting with the players and trying to make the game a better experience instead of nitpicking every little thing that does not need to be nitpicked about.
Flame me if you please, but what he said is right. Don't make them stop running events and things with prizes just because we have to complain about every little thing. If you weren't on tough luck for you, if you were and had the chance cool. Maybe the ones that were unlucky will be lucky next time. We should appreciate them for even trying.

I agree with Crane, We cry and complain if it's boring and nothing is run with prizes etc, then when something is just because of the time it was ran or who was on to who wasn't on we complain again.

(to Crane) None of us have said we arent greatful. I do believe there are alot of people who have started playing more since the new staffs efforts to make the game more fun. I am greatful for all the new staff.
It is only common sense to make a post online maybe a day or two before just so more people can participate instead of the 10 regualrs at the time the event running staff are on.

Most of the bigger quest type deals are announced in advance.

Fix a problem and they'll complain about the fix - do nothing about it and they'll still complain.
Nightmist is like any society, full of people who cannot be content to go on without causing an argument/complaint - there will always be issues because the bottom line is, the players enjoy raising them. Sometimes it's because they want to see the problem fixed, other times its probably just to see what happens afterwards and most of the time it's to cause some sort of stand off between staff and players.
The only way to counter this is to always evolve the game so the players have something else on their minds - stop progression and they become bored and restless, hence arguments/complaints arising.
Of course the staff cannot always meet the demands of evolving a game to the point of where no one will be bored - and even if they could, the players would probably still find something wrong anyway.
It's quite amusing to watch in most cases, but the staff have been quite versed at this (probably from previous staff experienced) and seem to be doing a good job at reacting in the right way to these complaints.

That is exactly why were complaining, because we don't want to move to america just to be online for quests lol.
Game server is 5 hours ahead of my time *which is eastern* If a quest was ran at 6 pm my time, time there would be 11 pm. That's still not late for a quest to be ran. And by the way, I am american and I can't even log on at the times that the quests are ran. I work first shift then sleep second shift. So I don't even log on till 12 am eastern time which is when absolutely nothing is ran but moshes. So you have more of an advantage of joining quests than what I do. I can't re-arrange my work or sleep schedule due to having a boyfriend that works third shift and i have to leave at all hours of the night to either drive him or pick him up from work.
Like right now.. the quest with the magimox's is going on right now and it gives everyone an oppurtunity to get the grand prize and it's 24/7. Have you tried for it?

Naw. It's just that I have to be to work at 5 am and he doesn't get off of work till 8 am and we just have 1 vehicle (it's his truck actually). So he has to come back and get me when I get off of work. It's cool that we work at the same place, just sucks that we work different shifts.

Cant you renew your contract and get the same shifts? Or swap with someone...
I'll be going back to third shift here soon, but problem is that the reason why I'll be going back to that shift is because I'll be taking a first job elsewhere. But I won't have to drive boyfriend in or whatever since we'll both be getting off way before I have to go to second job. See there is less hours on third shift where I work which is why I went to first shift. But I'll be going to a much better paying job here soon.

Items that are actual quest item---in that they are BETTER than items most players can get---shouldn't HAVE to be announced on the forums, but I do feel they should be released with multiples (at least 3) and in a way that makes it possible for most consistent players to know it is going on.
IE- Evil Santa, The Witch, etc.
Quests have been held in MUCH better ways lately than before. Realize that items like Bracelets of Speed, Boots of Haste, and Ring of Empathy were simply dropped in town or a prize from a 1-30 mosh.
The game isn't really the forum, though peoples' actions reflect both ways, the game shouldn't have to be run through the forum.
