I think that there should be a memo void command such that somebody memoed the wrong person or didn't mean to send it. This would only be able to work if the memo receiver hasn't read the memo yet. I dont know what the exact command would be called but i think that it's a topic to bring discussion to. <3VeNuS<3

First of all it was a personal thing for you (your own words), now you think this should be coded.

I think it's pointless, now what? -Gasp-

Alone,

Not to be rude, but it's people like you that make me not want to voice my opinion.

It's nice and all but I probably wouldn't use it very often. Once in a blue moon kind of thing.

Maybe I'm a cautious memo'er?

Do you have to be such a cabbage? It's just a suggestion nothing to lose your pants about.

Back on topic. This could be usefull for some people but I doubt I'd need it :P

This is fair enough if some people would find it useful. It means you couldn't do something like tell people you had appologised to someone as you could have deleted it. Someone could memo a load of abuse to someone so he could copy-paste and show it around everywhere but not actually send it. I just think it could get confusing as you don't know for sure a memo has been sent anymore.. granted they can just type it out to look real when it isn't anyway.

I don't really see a problem if its what you all want, thought I haven't voted.

i'm sorry alone, but this would be useful. lets say that one of your friends sold one of their crits without telling you and you have some vital info in the memo that you don't want to get out or let anyone know except the main person you are sending to. then your friends gets on and lets you know and its too late, you have already sent you memo to a person you don't know.. you can't send a memo saying "will you please void the last memo i sent" that won't work, so if you are able to void it with a command then it will get rid of it before the person reads it.

I've been playing for several years, and never came anywhere close to making that mistake. Any 'vital' information I've had to send, I've always been sure to tell the person directly, rather than been stupid enough to memo it to them and make a mistake.

To me this is just another of those lame safety nets people seem to want, cus all the current protection against a person cocking up, is never enough.

I remember someone else saying how they prefered the game when there was the risk of a trade going bad, having to place your trust in someone else- Now you can mess up even a simple command that people have been using for what.. Three odd years, and if you mess up, you can back track and save yourself.

Edit:
As for acting over the top at first, sure, maybe a tad, but hey- Nothing like getting the blood flowing?

Well, I don't give out vital information in memos either, but I did memo the wrong person before. One of my founders has the name Omniscient, but we all call him Omni, and out of habit of calling him Omni, I did indeed memo the crit Omni, which is not his. More embarrassing than anything, but it would be nice if it could be reverted.

What bothers me more is the auto complete in pages. If the person you are paging logs off while you are typing and you don't notice, a lot of times it will go to someone who's name starts out the same and has some sort of extention. Very annoying when that happens.
