Library Info for Bracer of Dark
Armor base: 4 (or 3) , Can be worn by: thieves Description: Made from emerald and forged by the Smithy of Malok's guide, it is very strong and extremely light weight, and thief would choose this if any. Few people besides Malok himself have ever worn this special bracer., Level needed to equip it: 25, Strength modifier: 0, Intelligence modifier: 0, Dexterity modifier: 0, Constitution modifier: 0, Wisdom modifier: 0, Charisma modifier: 0.

I was thinking droppable by Malok for about...10% maybe?

It's a bracer, not a bracelet.

Could be a possibility - people get bored of Steel Bracers. Depends if staff want to increase their maximum armour though.

Honestly, I think that's a fairly decent suggestion.

At least for a drop from something. The games got quite a few Spyglasses, I think; so really, adding it in on the Captain wouldn't be too bad.

Could be put in as an alternate drop somewhere else though, I really think it'd be nice to see a Fighter/Pally equivalent of the Adammant Warhammer.

lol and good ideas never get added so meh

How about this for a more unique (and worthwhile) drop for Herric (the boss in the Catacombs - currently drops Dark Mist Potion), not 100% chance of drop though.

Name: Cyclone Potion
Description: Even when the flask is perfectly at rest, the bright white fluid swirls perpetually inside, forming an ever-present whirlpool down the centre of the vial. If ingested, it is said to give the drinker incredible supernatural speed and reflexes until the potion works its way through.
Effect: Potion - boosts the user's Dexterity by 6 points for 3 minutes (same effect as Paladins' Holy Speed spell)

Message upon using: Your body becomes energised the moment the spinning liquid falls into your stomach. / %user's body suddenly becomes energised.

Message upon wearing off: The Cyclone Potion's effects wear off and you no longer feel the unnatural agility in your limbs. / %user's body is no longer energised.

I'd support that being a half drop with Dark Mist Potion. I've got a couple of the DMPs that I've simply never had a use for...

Or he could drop something similar to that. (the Cyclone Potion)

Full suport for the Cyclone Potion, it would make the area under gnollfort worth going back to again. and as Gaddy points out , the Dark Mist Potion isn't much use.
A 30/30/40% chance at DMP, Cyclone Potion or no drop *shrugs*
Good idea anyway ^_^

New idea for a drop from the Crystal Giant.
As a note, this idea comes up only because so many people have suggested a weapon for classes at CG.
Currently I think people without cobalts can only really use rangers, druids, and thieves. Pallys and clerics can also, but the weapons are weak to the point that they get a VERY small fraction of drops.

Anyway, here it is-
Shard Sword
Base damage: 23, Can be used by: fighters, paladins, Description: This sword has been covered by shards of the legendary Crystal Giant. It seems to yeild a beautiful glowing light by the reflections caused by the crystal prisms. Level needed to equip it: 21, Magical: Yes, Vamparic: No, Armor: 0, Strength modifier: 0, Intelligence modifier: 0, Dexterity modifier: 0, Constitution modifier: 0, Wisdom modifier: 0, Charisma modifier: 0, Poison chance: 0, Poison/30s damage: 0, Monster damage table: , Mana leech: .

I'd suggest that it be dropped from CG at about a 5% rate.
Keep it from being TOO rare and overly priced, and keep it from being too common and knocking it to un-fun.
Edit- Also as a note- Fighters and Paladins don't do very well at CG even with cobalts. The CG is a high ac boss, and their attacks are often knocked down quite a bit, as with druids sometimes. So no one really has to worry about them dominating the CG. They would, with this, be the lowest level class to use a decent weapon at CG though.

Library info for Titan's Vest:
Armor base: 51, Can be worn by: fighters, Description: A supreme armor worn by the great Time Knight. The armor seems to be too large for a normal person, but rather than falling off of fighters' shoulders, the fighters grow in size to fit the armor, a distortion probably caused by the highly dense matter of the armor., Level needed to equip it: 30, Strength modifier: 0, Intelligence modifier: 0, Dexterity modifier: 0, Constitution modifier: 0, Wisdom modifier: 0, Charisma modifier: 0.

Believe it is 3 higher than the current highest armor for Fighters...It would be dropped by the Time Knight, about as often as the Blade of Time. I think the desc should be better, sadly I would require sleep to make a better desc.

Library info for Silver Bracers:
Armor base: 3, Can be worn by: clerics, druids, fighters, paladins, rangers, thieves, pacifists, Description: Clearly cheaply made, the Silver Bracers appear to be simply silver plated Steel Bracers. The sliver of silver does however provide a very small ammount of extra defense., Level needed to equip it: 30, Strength modifier: 0, Intelligence modifier: 0, Dexterity modifier: 0, Constitution modifier: 0, Wisdom modifier: 0, Charisma modifier: 0.

Alternate drop for Malok, Hedge Lord, Adel, or they could be a VERY small percent drop from master thieves in Malok's guild.....

Old suggestions I had that I was wondering if people would like to comment on.

I for one now think that Paladins should be allowed to wear Titan's Vest--and that Titan's Vest isn't a very good name for it, but -shrug-.

And, I think Silver Bracers ac could be upped by some. The only shield they'd be improving for arch is thieves, who have low ac--though most agree thieves' ac should be low, the extra from it wouldn't provide some enormous leap for them.

/t Fallen There is a difference between making changes to the game engine and adding items that use existing mechanisms within the engine. New equipment that matches the existing standards (bonuses to armor or stats, restrictions on class and level, different base damages) are possible without changing the engine.

Adding new spell effects, potion effects, or other equipment modifications (armor that would increase HP regeneration, for example) would require changes to the underlying engine that runs NM. These are the things that would not be considered at this point.

Wisdom actually has very little effect on Mages beyond how much mana they gain. Intelligence holds far more weight and generally does everything to mages that Wisdom does to other classes.

Dare I say, a Mage with four Forged Rings on top of their other equipment will wind up with a total of 79 armour (assuming that the Mage isn't using rare items)...

Misty Robes/Robe of Storms + Fire Bands/Wooden Bracers + Circlet + Boots of Time + 4 * Forged Ring + 2 * Baron's Bracelet / Bracelet of Hope / Silver Bracelet + Hades Amulet / Platinum Amulet

31 + 1 + 2 + 6 + 32 + 2 + 5 = 79

If the Mage then casts Aura of Protection they will wind up with 197 armour... leaving the Mage with a 1.5% chance of being damaged at all... I think I can live with the loss of Dexterity in that case! Long story short, I don't support the Forged Ring, and most mages will probably not be looking for Dexterity, especially if loss of armour is the price to pay.

yes wisdom has little to no effect, the very reason i did not suggest any int mods. your mage with 197 ac will have (if elf or human) 15 dex, (if gnome) 16 dex a fair trade off i thought, 99% of the players are not going to sacrifice so much dex *shrugs* .. originally i thought 7 ac for the ring but it makes little difference
