(Btw, how do you know that kind of transformation Isn't communplace for some characters?)

Bremen began to weave magic into his words, trying to provoke Galeb into chasing Steven and himself: "Orders are everything aren't they, Galeb. How will Elwin react when he hears you failed to obey yours?"

"Heh...Steven can run but I'll find him. He knows that. Besides, His Sire never said anything about a time frame. I can take my good ol' time if my heart so deems it," Galeb started with a cheerful smile.

"But since you've asked so nicely..." he said, trailing off into a silent grunt as he leapt high into the air, coming down with his remaining scimitar square with Steven's head.

Deval; Is it safe to assume that Bract either is you or has your permission? Or should I be mumbling about the whole "using other people's characters" thing to them ^^;;

OOC: Tis your time to mumble, I've no idea who Bract is, nor have I been contacted, but I'm willing to overlook the misstep regardless in order to further Ulantees role in this story.

((OOC: This is bad, I am posting alot of this OOC I do not like doing that, the understanding was acctually of the references to the lower planes not the transformations, sorry about any mis-interpritation))

EDIT: ((OOC: OH CRAP forgot to read the 6th page ok how about some in char stuff finally))

Silverwizard sees the face off and hears the short exchange, he starts to blast bolts of lightning toward Galeb but then all of a sudden the voice says, "NO! I have better uses for this puny body." Silverwizard starts the bone snapping and poping process of turning into the Half-Orc who moves over to Galeb and picks him up with one of his well muscled arms. ((OOC: not trying to God-Mode here, simply stating what he is trying, Galeb can try to figure out a way of getting out of this one))

Bremen pulls Steven out of range of Galeb's attack. Galeb lost sight of them, only able to see a couple inches through the fog. He could be lost in that for hours, Bremen told Steven telepathicly, And the demon comes to fight him. Lets leave now......Quietly

Steven nodded then quickly followed Bremen out of the church.

Galeb simply laughed as he was lifted into the air. Almost not caring, he pulled a small pin from a pouch attached to his belt. It looked like a simple sewing needle but, obviously, it was much more than that. With a grunt of effort, Galeb immediatley rammed the pin as far as he could into the Half-Orcs arm.

As soon as he was confident that the pin was in far enough that the poison could circulate quickly, he began to kick and push off of the Half-Orcs body, trying to escape.

The Half-orc starts shaking Galeb with his hand, not ignoring the pain but using it to channel his rage, and attempting to stave off the effects of the poison by force of will. "Your are member of Elwin III army are you not?" he asks angrily, "Where is he going to strike next, I need to know, and you are going to tell me or you will be slain and left for the vultures." The half-orc's eyes turn a flaming red and glow a with a demonic light, the poison starts to take affect weaking him though causing him to weaken his grip slightly but it is still as powerful as a strong human.

((OOC: What type of poison is this, is it one that will kill me or is it one that will simply weaken or knock me out?))

As the half-orc's rage accumulated and his blood rushed through his veins, the poison simply spread more quickly. A muscle relaxant combined with weak hallucinates.

Galeb simply laughed as the brute continued to shake him.

"Sworn to secrecy, sah. Can't say a word."

((Can we give this half-orc a name? I mean...it's really boring when I have to keep calling him by one thing. ^^; ))

((OOC: Sorry, the half-orc was originally created simply as a host for The Silverdragon, who is the demonic embodiment of rage, so that Silverwizard was not possessed constantly and was better able to control his rage, he happens to have no name, personality, anything. Just call him Silverdragon or Dragon if you must. The elven pacifist I have also has no name, but in this I will not be him very much and then only for short times as a healer.))

Silverdragon roars in pain, he looks around with his eyes begining to see odd things, he looks to Galeb and instead of letting him go throws his one thousand pounds of muscles staight at him, "I do not care about your secrecy, I want to know." As he falls on Galeb he goes slightly limp, he can still move but barely.

Galeb simply laughed as he side-stepped, taking gross advantage of Silverdragon's new state of mind.

"Alright, seeing how you can barely even stand up right now, I'm going to offer you two choices. One, go out there, find Steven and bring him back. You do, and you're let go. If not...well...there's option two; I simply kill you now. The choice is really up to you," he said as he lazily twirled the scimitar.

The bone snapping and popping transition to Anturox begins, as soon as he is Anturox enough to cast spells he casts a spell to cure the poison, he is still weakened but the poison is no longer affecting him, "Ok I will go after Steven, just give me a minute to recover because I do not believe I can walk."

"...Errm...alright. I'll give you a few minutes...just...ugh, don't do that anymore!" he finished, plopping down on to a pew.

((OOC: There ya go Deval, someone was finally disturbed by my changes HA))

Anturox stands up slowly as the poison's affect finally wear off, he then walks into the fog and begins to track Steven again, until he catches up with him, turning into a cheetah for its speed. "Steven, Galeb is still after you, he thinks I am going to bring you back to him so I too am now a fugitive. I want you to know that you may not think your a hero, but your the only one who can be a hero," he says after he catches up to Steven.

Bremen leads Steven out of the church and starts back towards the Inn, but stops when Anturox catches up to them. "Ah, Anturox, is it? Tell me, just how much control do you have over the demon?"

"Control? Please define control? First off, the demon cannot control me fully except in the body that was created for Silverdragon as it has the weakest mind. It can exert mild forms of control including causing pain to me, which it uses liberally and it can cause me to transform against my will. Despite all of this it does not usually try to control me even in these ways, because it trusts my methods to do its will which it imposes upon me through pain. I can stop it from speaking through my mouth and also from making me go places against my will, I am a strong minded individual - well I use that term loosely - and it does not have full power over my mind," Anturox says as he keeps walking, falling in beside Bremen and he quietly says, "The demon also is not as he seems I have found."

Charon stood by the door of the inn. So many times she came close to opening the door, stepping out to following the magical trail of breadcrumbs Bremen had left her, to follow as he had intended her to follow.

His magic was strong... when she closed her eyes she could see where the path led, snaking its way towards the church. In her mind she traced that path, though in body she never left the doorway of the inn, but as she tried to enter the church she physically started shaking

<I don't want to go there> she thought vehemently. The thought was irrational. It was only a church and yet <I do not wish to enter that place>

She tried to quash the fear she felt but she couldn't. She couldn't even identify the source. There was something about the building that didn't feel right

<Something about the building...?> she thought <Or someone...>

"I should follow" she whispered to herself, but she couldn't make herself move. Something.. she was afraid. Nervously she clasped the glass... indeed she clasped her glass so tightly it might well have been a liferope. "I should follow" she repeated numbly... She knew that if she physically walked up to the door she would be able to enter. She knew that.
So why hadn't she?

In her mind she reached for the door, forced herself to move forwards. As the door opened she saw the figure inside. That same figure Bremen had seen, that those who had entered the church had seen. From afar she viewed this man(Galeb), with that armour so familiar...

*crash*

Without warning the glass in Charon's shaking hands shattered. At the sound, Charon was shocked back to reality where she was still standing by the doorway of the inn.

"I..." she was speechless as she realised what she had been doing and silently she cursed for allowing the drink to affect her control... she had been unable to avoid getting caught up in the flow of the magic.
She knew it was all her perception, that what she had been seeing was not entirely true to what Bremen has seen. She was certain he would not have hesitated at the door - he had no reason to, wheras she had felt although she were on a precipice, wondering what would happen if she took that next step...

She knew what she had seen couldn't possibly be the church that they had seen. Indeed from the taint the magic had held she knew the trail hadn't finished there... Bremen had continued on past that figure.

But she wasn't going to follow.

Slightly mortified, she stared numbly at the glistening slivers of glass scattered across the floor "I'm sorry" she shook her head as she spotted Alex, wincing as she realised her own hand was bleeding, clenching her fist to stop the blood from falling to the ground "I'm sorry" she repeated softly

“Grrrahh!” Bract yells as he springs to his feet. The two swords clear their sheaths in a flash as he takes a flying leap to the tree line. In a burst of rage and a flurry of steel, he reduces several small trees to a pile of brush.

Freshly covered in sweat and breathing heavily he moves over near the fire and begins to gather his equipment.

“No sense in stalling”, he says to himself as he looks to the distant lights of Karfendale.

In all fairness, he did post a page or so back and introduce his character... plus he's on his own, so there's noone ic to introduce himself to yet :)

I got the impression he was training/working himself up ready for a trip to dear ol' Karfendale... or perhaps to go bother Lord Elwin

OOC: If you were there to talk to him, you'd be welcome to ask why he's angry - at the moment, Ulantees is the only one closeby. And, in my previous post, and the last one, it states that I'm by the road outside of Karfendale (between Gromburg and the King's Castle). I didn't introduce myself becaues I'm using the character that is this profile (name and pic).

I tried to convey that he's a deserting soldier by the armor and stuff discarded on the road leading to his little camp site.

Sorry for the confusion, I don't see any problem with the details coming out in-play.

Bremen watched the transformation, faintly disgusted, as he often was when demons were involved, but showing no sign of it. He then looked slightly amused as he took his purse back. "Yes. You'll do nicely. ok, we'll wait till tonight, then we'll-" Bremen began, then snapped his head up and seemed to be staring at something the others couldn't see. "Something's wrong.." he said, then called to Charon telepathicly, sounding weak because of the distance: Are you all right? We're on our way back to the Inn.

Still shaking her head, trying to clear her mind Charon reached for the door, opening it in her search for air. The coldness struck her first, and dimly she began to realise that the remainder of her drink was pooling and spreading across the floor....

In her dazed state she was also becoming aware of the searing pain as the alcohol began to burn her wounded hand, and as she winced she sucked in breath, trying to negate it.

She thought she heard Bremen calling to her, but it was faint... and after what she'd just experienced she didn't quite trust her perceptions

<I'm... Everything's fine> Charon said somewhat hesitantly, trying to force a calmness onto her turbulent thoughts. She knew that even if he had called, even if he heard that answer, it was not enough to convince anyone, but she felt the need to try. She herself still wasn't sure why she had reacted the way she had. Even now, at the corner of her mind... she could still sense the maleficence she had while she'd been 'following' them ... even now she still couldn't stop shaking.

Alex turned his head abruptly and stared at Charon. Swiftly, he signalled to a maid to clean up the mess. His eyes softened and he slowly approached Charon, talking in short, soft whispers.

"...Hey, there, lass...

I...I noticed that you..- Err...Can..err...Would you mind if I took a look at your hand there?" he said as he reached for his hankerchief.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Galeb sighed and walked out of the church. He knew the beast wouldn't go get Steven. Oh, well. It was getting late and his stomache grumbled loudly. He'll search again in the morning...after requesting for more men from His Excellency, himself.

For now...retiring back to his castle quarters would be paradise. God, my body hurts, he thought to himself as he rotated an arm.

Stupid half-orcs...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Steven had been walking quickly, several metres ahead of the others and, as such, he didn't catch a glimpse at Anturox's transformation (although, he could have sworn that he heard the sound of bones grinding together, something that chilled him to no extent).

Lazily, he looked back to the others and smiled awkwardly.

"...How exactly did you know where to find me?"

Trekkie steps up to Steven, "After I have found you, Anturox can track you, t is a fact of the power of a druid. It was easy to tell you'd gone to the church, if you mean earlier than that, well Narin and I were searching, the demon knew the prophecies and knew you would show in this city, it just took a long time, four years searching for you, long time. Huh, what, oh come on, Silver your not in control right, what, huh?" Trekkie clutches his own head and falls to the ground, his body starts to transform into Silverwizard's slowly, parts changing back from Silver to Trekkie and vice versa, the bones seem to be fighting each other and even start popping out of his skin, though it mends itself when they go back in, after about a minute of this his features settle down as the features settle as Trekkie once more.

((OOC: Also sorry, I was a little harsh with Bract, I meant give some moral to the char, "Bract leaped up angered at the intrusion into his camp, and growled to Ulantees (sp sorry cannot see it infront of me best i can do) 'prepare to die bandit'", or some such, I have a little more experience i admit but simply saying that just point out in your description more morals, if he is a battle lover or highway bandit anyone would have noticed simply because you would see the character's looks, etc.))

"I'm sorry" Charon murmered again as she sidestepped away from the maid, trying to keep out of her way. For a moment she leaned against the wall by the door in silence, taking deep breaths of the night air.

Slowly she raised her head as she head Alex's voice, but her mind was still flickering aimlessly between one thought and the next. She wanted to protest his offer of help, but found she didn't truly have the heart to deny him when he only seemed to want to help. Besides, something about the soft tone of his voice was reassuring

"Yes, I mind" she said with slight smile "but thankyou" she nodded slowly, and laughed somewhat bitterly at herself when she realised she was still shaking "Thankyou" she repeated, mirroring his own tone of voice as she proffered her hand

Ulantees leaps to his feet sweeping his blade from the ground as the sound of splintering wood and the cry of an angry voice break the night silence. Putting himself in front of the fire as to hide his appearance, with a hoarse yet rich voice he calls into the darkness, 'Ho stranger, who goes there? Present yourself or find your gullet embracing the cold steel of my blade!'. As the cool night air kisses his cheeks and plays with the mess of his hair, he stands and waits for a response from the suffocating darkness.

Alex smiled and gently began to dab at the wound with his hankerchief. Once most of the blood had been removed, he squinted hard and pulled out a small piece of glass. With another smile, he quickly cleaned the rest of the wound and called for a wrap of gauze.

"...M-Miss Charon?" he said quietly.
"...Penny for your thoughts?" he said with a light tone, taking the gauze from a maid and wrapping it around her hand tightly.

"Is...that alright?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Steven turned away and drowned out the sound of popping bones with random thoughts.

"Uh..." he started, swallowing hard.
"Th-That's...umm...- M-My name is Steven Avelin...b-but I think you know that already..." he said as he took a moment before extending out a hand.
