That Drider Warlord thing. How long has it been around for? And where is it? And what makes it so hard?

Not that I have any intention whatsoever of doing anything with the knowledge...

Pretty much its a 20alt limit boss that only magic bow users (rangers) can do any significant damage too. Its hard, but not as hard as everyone makes out.

As a note if you don't have 15 rangers just use some Zerks with cobalts to spread some damage on as they still heal even though they're doing 0 damage although will obviously take significantly longer to do.

I have an abundance of neither for rangers. Only 4 cobalt bows and no 4 stam clerics, still maintain that the hype is a bit of overreaction though.

"Only" four Cobalt Bows! I only crafted my first one a few weeks ago, and for a while I had to make do with six Rangers with Enchanted Bows, a couple of Berserkers with Swords of Existence and four Clerics, although one did have six stamina. Even though I now have two six-stamina Clerics, a couple more Rangers to hand and one Cobalt Bow, I still usually suffer at least one casualty.

I think it depends on what kind of party you had from the beginning - if you always chose to go Rangers from the off, then you can kill him fairly quickly, whereas someone who has a lot of Berserkers or Thieves instead will run into trouble.

I only have 4 proper rangers (hence 4 cobalt bows) the rest are ones I bought for the warlord(all 30-33). Though I think that's where most of this stems from as people are attempting it on parties which aren't capable of taking down a lot of bosses including the warlord.

Well, my main party prior to its introduction was more than able to take on most bosses, including the other 5-star bosses like the Kraken, Imhotep and Ku'Nal, but I had to change the party around to cope with the Drider Warlord, and it wasn't until I spent 9 million gold on a pair of level 35 Rangers and managed to craft my first Cobalt Bow that I started to have a better chance at fighting it. You need a Ranger-heavy party for the Warlord, and vamparic weapons help a lot! Unfortunately for me, crafting Cobalt Bows is not easy because I refuse to give a Pacifist the dishonour of checking the Credenza.

What I mean is that the adapted parties people are using wouldn't be able to take out many main bosses hence why they can't take him out easily and why people find it hard to kill him.
