"I have information for him, serious information, he needs to know it, I can only give it to Steven himself but my advice is that if your involved with Steven you've gone in over your head unless your worthy of legends, everyone had better be, including Steven." Narin says in responce, he then starts fingering his warhammer again, he then turns back to the window still periodically scanning the bar, waiting for Steven it appears but he seems pained and scared, waiting for something dangerous.

((Again, Trach, please, watch your spelling and grammar.))

After much commotion, Steven finally walked out of the bathing room. His hair was still wet and was hanging down in front of his eyes. However, he couldn't help but smile as he saw everyone's eyes light up. Before Steven could even get a word out, several people had jumped over the bar-counter and began to horde at whatever their paws could grasp.

"S-Steven? Aren't you going to get something to drink?"

"...No, thanks, Alex. I-I'm fine..."

"Hmmm..." Alex murmured under his breath. His face was wraught with worry as he began to stroke the bottom of his chin.
"Well...Steven, if you're interested, you can get some food from the kitchen. Don't worry about money...I got it covered. Our head chef, Laurant, will glady get you something, I'm sure of it.

"Th-Thanks, Alex," Steven mumbled as he began to blush again. Steven would never get used to be treated so well. He was just like these people...probably even a little worse off then most of them, why should he be treated so well?

"A-Alex...? I'll pay you back...for all of this...someday...I-I...I promise..." he finally said, scratching the back of his head nervously. He had already promised this earlier today and it didn't look like he was going to be able to carry out these promises anytime soon.

"Pay me back? Kid, is your head on straight?" Alex said teasingly as he messed up Steven's hair again.
"If it wasn't for you, this Inn would be naught cinders! If anything, I owe you."

"A-Alex? E-Excuse me a second..." Steven said quietly, not really knowing what to say in reply to Alex's comment.

Steven quickly sat beside Narin, keeping his eyes on the table, refusing to make eye-contact.

"D-Did you want to talk to me...?"

"I take it you met Silverwizard, I know him, he will have found you long before I could. I am not him. I am a friend of his, I want you to know, he is not himself, the thing that is goading him towards you is a demon, that is right Silverwizard is possessed by a demon. Something is wrong with this demon I find though, it doesn't feel right, it feels, well, good. I do not know what is up with this but I know this demon needs you as a warrior to acomplish a plan, to murder a king." Narin says this becoming more and more animated, he looks at Steven at the end of his speech and puts on the table a holy symbol of Cyric, "If you need anything, that can be used to contact me, though be warned, it will give me knowledge of where you are, take this information however you want but be warned, something is not right." After this he goes over to another corner table, one with the same view as the one Steven is now alone at, and starts watching Kallico, Mantis and Trach.

Steven sighed and reached into this shirt. Slowly, he pulled out a silver crucifix held on to his neck by a simple, silver chain. He gripped it in his right hand and shut his eyes for a breath moment. After a calming deep breath, Steven began to think himself clearly.

Kill a king? King Elwin? ...I would never! ...I-It's true that he has been...corrupted by someone...or something but he's still King Elwin - a just nobleman.

As for Silverwizard...a demon? I-I've met a few demons before... even a few on friendly grounds...but this sounds...different. It's living inside Silverwizard...yet...it wishes well being? Something...isn't right...Something definatley isn't right...

In the shattered remains of Gromburg, a sound of stone on steel cuts through the deafening silence as Ulantees stares into the campfire while he sharpens his two handed claymore "Phantomblood". His short beard newly cropped, his armor cleaned of all filth, he appears as though a new man, with only his new desire for vengeance as a reminder of the broken man who had lain defeated in the ruins of his city. A sling pack sits upon the ground beside him, filled with food, supplies and a spare change of clothes he had found in the rubble of homes and stores. Enough food had been found to keep him nourished for at least a weeks travel by foot, and when that was exhausted, his obstinate practicality would worry about that when the time came. Holding Phantomblood high into the cool night air, the reflection of the moon danced down the blade like shooting stars roaring across the hollow expanse of the dawning sky, while a thin beam of light kissed the green mountain tops in the distance, telling of the oncoming day. Soon the sun would begin to rise, and Ulantees had hoped to have travelled some distance before the sun blazed upon the back of his neck as some great salamander whilst he travelled. Sliding Phantomblood into his seath on his back, he grabbed the sling bag from the ground and threw it over his head and shoulder, setting off in the direction of his sole reason left to live, Ulantees headed down the path from where the devestation had come, he headed towards his vengeance, Ulantees headed towards the kingdom of Elwin III.

((OOC: Sorry did not see your post Draco, sorry, also I am a human now, Anturox.))

Anturox goes back to the ally and looks where he saw Steven laying in the garbage, he moves across looking at the marks where Steven joined the other two, Charon and Bremen, he then continues to go through the city, sometimes relying on the magic of the picture that has been enhanced by the picture, he simply has to stay on the trail to be able to follow it, sometimes he relys on small marks left, difficult in all the traffic on the street, but still possible for a druid, he stops at the door of the Dancing Wolf, "I believe Steven is in here, and also Narin is, hmm." Anturox goes into the bar and walks across the bar to Narin.

"Ah, Anturox, how goes it, your powers are limited with only the one body, this world is simply too much for you, isn't it," Narin says in greeting.

"Come now Narin you know the world, always full surprises, I know what I am doing, do not sabotage Steven's mind against me, I can handle this, trust me."

"Oh come now, Anturox, you do not know ANYTHING, your possessed by a demon, let me preform an exorcism, please."

"No, I do not need it, I can handle fine on my own, I do not need it, the demon is better than you think," with this Anturox slides into a chair across the bar from Narin, only a table or two removed from Steven.

A keen eye might observe several cloaked figures keeping to the shadowy areas on the outskirts of the cheerful crowd... There is, at least, one by the door, and one more on each side-wall. They move very little, staying in the shadows and situated as to have view of most of the room.

“Quite a band of misfits you’ve attracted to you heels Mr. Avelin”, a sharp, yet smooth voice emanates from within the crowd.

The crowd parts, forming a clear path to the origin of the voice; a young woman, shrouded in a dark black cloak rises and strides forward. She drops her hood to reveal short cropped, fiery red hair, and glistening, dark green eyes set deep in a finely chiseled brow. A large, angular dark colored tattoo surrounds her left eye; reflecting dark blue hues in the dim light. Moving confidently towards Steven, she lifts her cloak over her right shoulder, revealing her supple figure. On her right hip, attached to a belt, hangs a small, black hand crossbow, cocked and ready to fire. Many small pouches also adorn the belt, and a second belt wrapping her waist as well as one crossing her torso from hip to shoulder.

“I am Katianna, from the city of Nightmist”, she says with a friendly smile as she pulls up a chair and sits at the table, rather close to Steven. She leans towards Steven and sniffs lightly at the air, “You’re much more approachable now that you’ve bathed”, she says with a smile.

Posted Image

Taking on a more serious tone: “Your king has shattered many lives lately... His commitment to these ruthless attacks, it seems, begins with you – or, the task he used you for, its ending appears to have initiated the king’s rampage. Because of this, you are a target for both those that wish the king stopped, and those that wish vengeance for the crimes the king has committed. Some, as perhaps these new friends of yours, seek your insight to right a wrong. Others, however, such as the Council of Elders of the Elves, seek your death, among others, for the part you plaid in bringing this about.”

“Fortunately, certain interested and influential parties have elected to intervene in the hopes of a less violent resolution. The elves have agreed to delay any action for a short time, as to allow the situation to be rectified to their satisfaction, but without war. Yes, after the deaths of the elven lords they are prepared to end this by open conflict – and they are not alone.”

Kallico looks from Mantis to Trach. She studies him for a few moments and then orders herself some ale. She glances at Mantis again before taking a seat at the table Trach is occupying.
"and what kind of feeling might this be?" she says towards Trach as she drinks her ale. She continues to watch Trach carefully as she debates whether or not the obvious thief is an enemy or not.

Steven swallowed hard and even began to tremble as Katianna spoke to him. A definate chill running down his spine.

"I-I...I think I know what you're getting at..." he finally mumbled as he began to draw imaginary doodles in the tables hard-wood surface.

"But...wh-what do I do? I tried to stop King Elwin once...look where I ended up... No, this calls for a hero...n-not me..."

Charon allowed herself to chuckle lightly at the commotion her one query had caused. Everything suddenly seemed so... alive. She picked up a drink one of the regulars had placed down in their search for something more expensive, and sipped it lightly as she rose, tilting her glass to Alex

"Hey, I guess I should do some arranging then" she smiled at him "Would it be possible to arrange rooms for Steven, Bremen and myself?" but before he could answer the shadows caught the corner of her eye. SHe turned quickly.... but when she turned she couldn't see them anymore.
Slightly distracted she turned back to Alex "Here... this should cover them..." she placed a small pouch of money on the counter infront of him before she headed quietly towards the door in search of the shadows she thought she'd seen moving, but then through the general commotion she happened upon a name, upon a title, that she had heard far too often to ignore

"The Council of Elders" she murmered softly, turning around. Upon hearing that... she had no choice but to abandon her search. Where had that voice come from? Her gaze flickered quickly through the crowd as she tried to work out who could know of the... her gaze fell upon the flame haired woman moments before she realised Bremen was talking to her

Telepathy too she thought to him with a silent grin You are a man of many secrets... but I thank you

She snaked her way through the crowd still sipping on her drink as she approached, nodding a thanks to Bremen once she actually saw him. Silently, she joined their crowd

Her face becomes soft with a sympathetic expression. She reaches out and takes Stevens hand in hers, “No need to get all tense now, Love, I highly doubt anyone will be bustin’ down that door to kill you this night.”

“Besides, hero is a relative term, and not something you need to keep on some high, infallible pedestal. There is simply a task that needs done here, one that will be done, that is tied to you. You don’t have to do anything, it’s your choice to pursue this dilemma to its end, or return to the alleys and garbage. Some believe that a peaceful resolve is best sought for with your assistance, since you are intimately familiar with some of the critical events that brought us to this point."

"However, you can rest assured that there are others out there right now already working for alternative, peaceful means to resolve this. “

She stands, brushes back the hair from over Steven’s face, and kisses his forehead; “So, try to calm yourself, consider the possible paths before you, and get some rest...as I intend to do.”

She nods to ‘the group’, “Good eve”.

Anturox looks at Bremen, "I am sorry, I have nothing to help me, my assests have fallen, The Warriors, are... dying out." Suddenly his muscles ripple over his body, he begins to stand taller, his equipment changes bringing weapons over his body, at the end of the current transformation he is a half-orc clad only in a loin cloth and a belt with weapons, including daggers, swords, and other weapons in an almost obscene amount. He walks over to Steven and stared him in the eye, "Steven, your more of a hero than any of us, I am not Silverwizard, I am one of the beings inhabiting this body, though it is a useful one, very powerful right now, and versitile, better than my own. Steven, I do not know what Narin told you, but I know what it true, Elwin must die for this to work, I do not know why he is like this, but Elwin must be stopped. I am not what you think I am, I am more."

"Silver, no, whoever you are, are you Dragon? Silver, please, let me stop it, the evil will grow, let it stop." Narin says approaching.

"The evil is not me, the evil is Elwin, trust us, Silver and me, please, trust me." this new half-orc says.

((Well...it's a good start to RP'ing but you have a lot of room for improvement. The real big problem I have with this is how many questions it rises. Where did these wolves come from? Why is Shinton so angry? Where did this pike come from?

Also, the ending doesn't really allow much room for a reply. The only way someone would be able to reply to that (I think) would be to stumble across the fight.

Still, though, it's a pretty good start.))

"I-I..." Steven began as he stared down at the hard-wood floors.

I...can't kill King Elwin... But...I'm not going to just let him get away with this all... There...There has to be some...other answer...

"Alex! I'm going out for a bit, don't give away my room," he yelled out jokingly as he upped and left the Dancing Wolf. Quickly, he dashed through town until he finally came to his destination.

With a slight heave, he pushed open one of two giant, oak doors leading into a Chapel. Inside, the walls were painted pure white, trimmed with a lovely gold. As he entered, Steven could see the rows of pews on either side of him. As he continued to walk down the aisle, he couldn't help but feel less vexed.

"F-Father Micheal...? A-Are you here?"

"St-Steven...? Is that you?" came a voice from a front pew. Slowly, a gangly, pale man rose to his feet. Dressed in finely pressed black dressings, Father Micheal looked to be quite coming of age. His hair was gray, thin and quickly loosing hold on his head. However, one couldn't help but be happy as soon as they laid eyes upon his jolly, wrinkled face.

"Y-Yes, Father..." Steven said as he quickly trotted to the front of the chapel.

"C-Come...sit..." Father Micheal replied as he began to search for his walking cane. However, he was having quite a difficult time. He had only recently lost his sight to disease and it was still quite an adjustment for him. However, Steven swiftly gathered his cane and placed it in his hand gently. Together, they both sat down and smiled at one another.

"You've been away for quite a while...I was beginning to worry..."

"Yeah...I-I've...been...places..." he eventually spit out.

"Mmmm...I bet...you'll have to tell me all about your crazy adventures someday...but...I feel like something is troubling you...Steven? What's wrong?"

Steven couldn't help but be surprised...sure, Father Micheal always had this keen ability to tell if something was bothering you just by looking at you for a moment...but...it was odd. Steven didn't expect him to realize his anguish so suddenly.

"...W-Well...I-I...y-you...err...K-King Elwin..."

"Ah, ah, ah," he interrupted. "...Don't worry about it, Steven...I think I know your problem."

"But-"

"You're going to try to stop King Elwin again, aren't you?"

"Yeah but-"

"You've probably found this whole band of travellers to help you, too, haven't you?"

"Well...yes but-"

"But you're worried about what you might be forced to do."

"E-Exactly but-"

"Well...Steven...I've known you almost your entire life... and there's not much more advise that I can give you... except...

Steven..." he said, grasping Steven's hand in his tightly.

"You're a good person, right to the core. Even as a child...you were pure... Listen to your heart, it'll guide you. Remember, He doesn't care about what you can accomplish or what you do...it's about why you did it - it's about what was in your heart.

Perhaps...I should let you alone... I believe that now...you wish to speak to Him alone..."

"F-Father...I-I-I..."

"Shhh...I know. You don't need to be sorry or ask for my forgiveness - you have always and will always have it. You just need to forgive yourself.

As for thanking me... I-I was just happy that you dropped by...I know that you're safe now and that's a gift in itself."

Slowly, Steven nodded and helped Father Micheal to his feet. He kept both hands on his aging body until he was sure that he could stand on his own.

"Father Micheal...th-thank you...for everything..."

"I've already told you, you don't-"

Just then, a good sized brick flew through one of the larger stain-glassed windows. The shattering sound made both Steven and the Father cringe. Quickly, Steven stood in front of the father and let the glass shards bounce of his back rather than the frail man's structure.

"Steven! We know you're in there! Get out here...now!"

"...That voice...no...h-how...no...this c-can't be happening...Father Micheal! Run! Get away from here!"
