But tbh, Jurian is quite right, It's going to take a hell of a long time to get NM2 on the go, and a sample of it would be nice.. but option three sucks... Auto rollers could be made maybe, as i found from my post on getting rid of them damn questions! And you'd have everyone being Barstuards.. and i dont wanna play a game were i get abused for having a name similar to some star wars guy or being related to the name of grettle! (stupid people).. option one all the way...
POSTing IS fun

One could hope that those ppl will be the ones not electing to paySeriously, who would be willing to pay cash to sit around talking trash to others?

I will certainly play NM2 (despite my earlier statement), I just don't want to see the current NM dropped, or the support level lowered by the development of a game we have yet to see even in a ß version. We know what we have, we do not know what we will get.
As many posters have suggested, let some fair and good ppl continue the NM1 support at least at the current level, and when that has happened, by all means, Simon and JLH develop NM2 and put all you got into it.

1. I do work for a living irl, but between bills to keep a roof over head and 2 kids to take care of. I can't afford to p2p. Sorry, I don't live with my parents and they have a strict belief that I agree with.. Pay for your own life. If NM 1 were to fall apart.. I do have another game to go to that's at least graphic play and not text based. (I prefer text based only because I love role playing.)
2. I voted option 1. (Yes, I read all the replies to this post first!) I have to agree, that if you can't keep players happy in this game, the nm2 will go down the drain faster than this one has.
I would love to see more races/guilds and such but we need higher lvls than 30!
Yes, I would be a little disappointed by seeing everyone lose everything they worked so hard to get. The arch's are what made me enjoy this game starting out because I had so much to worry about when it came to my own crits with them being so low leveled. But at the same time, this game as is, needs so much improvement.
But if NM2 is going to take so damn long to get up and running, get this game better and keep interest in this game till NM2 comes out. If JLH isn't gonna pay attention to NM1 and keep his energy on NM2.. then I agree, put someone else in charge. You'll lose even more interest in NM2 and then all the money and time spent will go down the drain. I know a lot about games (especially role playing games) to know if you ignore one to build a better one, both will go to hell faster than you built it.

Most of the responsibilites have to be handled by JLH. He's the only one with access to logs.If JLH and Pandi were to take into consideration that NM1 be controlled by Stotic Wes and some other trusted player.

That is a security consideration, which can rather easily be solved. Most of the responsibilites have to be handled by JLH. He's the only one with access to logs.

because we all know mike has no lifeNo it's just that JLH would have to send all the logs to Mike, Wes or whoever was doing that and that would be a problem. He could upload them to the site but that could possibly take longer and take TONS of bandwith.

Log viewing via the internet has been no problem for years. There is little difference from any other database viewing. The issue really is choosing what gets logged and who gets to see it (ie. is the viewing to take place via for instance vpn). With the proper choices in that regard made, the bandwidth issue is more or less moot.No it's just that JLH would have to send all the logs to Mike, Wes or whoever was doing that and that would be a problem.
