i have a mensa shirt, honetly. not that i'm a member or anything, i just find it hilarious people have the odacity to measure their intelligence to compare it to those around them. it's sorta like belonging to the "how pretty are we?" club; instead of measuring intelligence, they measure beauty, both of which are superficial ways of categorizing people.

and if you say MENSA is an organization to "group like-mided people", then why did you throw it in rappy's face? don't answer that, i just wanted to say showing off how smart you are is not dissimilar to pushing a smaller person around. it takes away from what really some argue what really counts: integrity and character.

Tell him that:

Oh, and I do have integrity and character as well, unlike Rappy.

And to answer Rappy: higher than yours.

actually anyone who is so horrible at argueing such as you cant be to smart

hmmm and out of my sence of fairness I wont engage in a battle of wits with you

because you are unarmed...?

I mean what you gonna do ? make clannies jump me ? page me on a crit called go_away_imma_big_mama ? I mean wtf tanja gimme the best you got lol

And you think because of being able to click on pictures you are smart? My 4 year old can do that.

Fact is, I can't be too stupid, I have a college education and graduated best of my state, and unlike you I took the MENSA IQ test and became a member even though I don't go to any meetings anymore.

Bring the mental combat Rappy, if you can find those missing brain cells of yours.

P.S. I don't need my clannies to jump you in game, unlike you I can argue out things outside of the game and not threaten to "kill" someone when I know I'm losing.

PPS: This post is about boobies, not you, so GO AWAY AND BUG SOMEONE ELSE! instead of ruining every topic on this forum.

True, its not about IQ, Einstein had quite a small (IQ) if i remember right.

Just a question to satisfy my own curiosity, but what is the benefit of being in mensa? I've personally always considered it a scam, considering the least intelligent person I have EVER met was a member, and when I saw that he had to pay a membership fee I just considered it as being a joke. No offense intended, I'm just wondering why everyone considers it such a benefit to be a member of mensa. What are the fees used for?.

I don't particularly care about that membership to be honest, it is something I got into via my dad years ago, who thought I should have my IQ tested since I was supposedly "gifted", so he took me in for one of the testings and I ended up scoring high enough to join, so my dad paid my fees and does to this day.

As I stated before, I don't even bother going to the meetings, because as you observed correctly, a lot of those super intelligent people can't apply their immense IQ to rl situations (we have one guy in our area who is in the top 100 chess players worldwide, yet gets lost in a parking lot when driving his car).

However, as also stated before, Rappy decided to post his IQ chart, and since he brought up the whole IQ discussion I figured it would be nice to actually see some results from him.

As for Angelus, as far as I know, IQ testing as we know nowadays was not commonly performed during Einstein's times. It was assumed that he had an IQ of around 160, but as far as I am informed nobody knows for sure.

And Rappy, owned what? Yourself? Bring it on....lol

My aunts husband is allso a good chess player ( dont know his rank, but he has lots of trophies and stuff) and he tends to forget things too ... especially where he left his car.

"Tube minded" people are able to concentrate more efficiently on things making it easier to be good at maths and things that need high concentration like chess, but they lack the ability to see the "whole picture" and to react to multiple things at once ...

edit: pie and intellect, this is interesting.

IQ tests are crap...

IQ doesn't change with knowing more or age for that matter...so a baby has the same IQ as when it's 20 or whatever. But yet he can't even hold up a pencil to make the test.

Who made the test, unless it's been made by God i don't see how one person over the next can decide which animal shouldn't be in there.

IQ tests contain geographical questions, why? How does knowing where a place is enlarge my IQ.

Who decides who's stupid and who's not, if the so called "stupid" people would make a test and would make you do it, you would fail miserably as well. Who says what's the right way to be and what's the wrong. (Not talking about math questions or the like, but deciding which of the 4 vegetables is the wrong one depends all on how you look at it and there isn't only one correct way.)

i believe einsteins iq was 150 or 160. yet leonardo davinci had an iq of about 220 (someone wasted loads of time and money to do research on that) also madonna has an iq of 140 so einstein ain't much smarter then madonna iq wise. thing with einstein was that the part of his brain used for calculating things was larger then with normal ppl.

(Not talking about math questions or the like, but deciding which of the 4 vegetables is the wrong one depends all on how you look at it and there isn't only one correct way.)

the first iq test was developed about 100 years ago (if i remember this correct from psychology class, i ahve a book on it somewhere but can't be arsed looking for it) in the 50's-60's they were mainly used to c if someone would be capable of doing a certain job.

those were specific tests to fit the job requirements really nowadays iq-tests have been developed to have a broader range because their are different types of iq (like math and linguistics and stuff like that) that's why they have alot of different questions.

iq tests give an average result for example einstein might ahve had like a 200 iq on math but sucked at language and got 100 for that so he ended up having a 150 average iq. (i've only read 1 chapter of that stupid book about iq tests so dun kill me if it's wrong but this is what i remember) :P

IQ test do not contain geographical questions, they contain questions that can be solved by logical thinking. Hence all an IQ test actually does is test how well you can come to logical conclusions.

You need no education to be able to think logically.
