just so you know, yabb se is not the same people who made yabb, yabb se creators asked if they could use yabb and convert it to be a database type forum, which they then released.

yeah i knew that, and they made such a crap job at it too. The only reason i use it, is because it's one of 3 boards i get to choose from in Cpanel, other than phpBB and IPB.

i like any forums that are able to have a simple skin, otherwise it loads slow with all the graphics

Yeah but this is faster than the last forum loading each page for everyone, even with all the extra fancy stuff surely?

Which color? are you talking about? I think I solved that whole thing lol, this forum isn't so bad...only thing that bothers me are the read and un-read forums thing...and occassionally some things that haven't been posted on and I've looked up show up as un-read.

i agree. Can't we just have ONE default skin so everybody is seeing the same thing

im sure you know the skins site by now JLH. I'm using this one, simple, and only one available so there is no hassle. Goes well with the site too.

The simplicity was nice, and the forums just looked so Nightmisty as was previously stated. These new forums are nice, but they do seem to load slower.

I think I saw you use this once, JLH. "If it's not broken, don't fix it".

As Matchew said, though, it's here, it's done, we have to live with it. kthx

while yabb wasn't broken, it was slow and inefficient. this forum is much faster and uses a fast mysql database (that uses <100 files iirc) instead of 40,000 files on the server.

its just a forum, use the default skin, i do. very simple and it works! What more do you people want? if u wanna complain, find a better game, thats all i have to say.

Since I've gotten used to the new forum a little bit better I do like a lot. I still miss the simplicity of the old one but this new one is really nice too.

this one could be just as simple. Doesnt take much to make a skin which looks like the old one. you think you got it hard? you should see the admin panel YaBB admin panel is easy to navigate, but IPB has such a long menu, so many options and stuff.

I honestly like this forum much better than the old one as far as looks. Plus the fact that You don't have to wait to catch JLH on just to get your password is a HUGE plus as well.

Their talking about how before your password wasn't automatically sent to you and you'd have to wait for JLH to send it to you

That wasn't such a big deal. It was a one time thing. Sure it was a bit of an inconvienance (spelling??) but it's not like you had to do it every day.

Personally I like the forum but then I like alot of buttons, the thing I dislike is that I do not have as many buttons as the other Invasion boeard I'm on, though the reason for that would be the fact I do not have admin powers, the board's extra features allow you to customize and play around more on the board use what your farmiliar with if you have progrediphobia and use the new cool tools if you don't.

not the point, in the amount of time the old forums were around, i had over 5 accounts lol. Stupid i know, but the amount of people that had to wait to get their pass.... i think it was only with free email accounts, because the passwords sent fine to my website email. But either way, this one works
