Then don't train there, there are tonnes of other places where there is good experiance. Faravar is namely one of them, and because of the traps and the ktp nobody is going to come up there just to kill you. That mountainous area south of rose garden, even the mountain path on the way to Balrog for the wolves/mountain lions. Even, if you have a couple people with you, the desert - nobody will find you there.

The NM world is definately big enough, and I have listed some of the more obvious areas, but there are many more you can hide from.

Yeah but for training low levels that doesn't make any sense. When you're a higher level sure, but before that you might as well tuck your head between your legs and kiss your butt goodbye. Training an adept pally doesn't really work for that. I just have to hope i gain more exp than I lose I guess.

As far as "If you can't beat them join them" When was the last time Pande was accepting new members?

If you've got an adept pally you can pretty much go anywhere once you got aid. Just find some little hidey-holes with a few good monsters and bash away

Rax, I always found if you could get down past the sergeant you're ok. IT, give up lol. Everyone checks there heh. Forest, no go zone. Gnolls are fairly well used, but doable. Just be inventive and cunning, you'll do fine.

Fair play though, solo training a lvl 31 zerker doesn't sound much fun. Still, gotta work it out somehow

It's not quite like that yet, but now we know the rest of 1alt is conspiring against us, it may become a bit more regimented.

in reply to this topic though.. You dont need to make a huge clan just to give pande competition. you have a friends list dont you... or do people just not like you and kill you on sight. Be nice. Make friends.. Get people together.. get people motivated.. you'll be fine.. pande dont do anything.. takes em 30mins jus to decide how we're gonna go to atrium.. and not give me a CPA when it drops.. yeah thats right. I said it. Gits. lol... I'll get one.. and and ED.. cause thieves are so easy yeah.. erm... yeah.!

There was a post on here that said Legendary only has 3-4 active members well whoever put that was a dum dum i cant seem to find it now but it WAS here anyways ! The *»*¤ Lëgëñdâry ¤*«* clan (11 online characters) and guess what the whole clan was actually in a party training together lvls 10-29 yes we still found a spot that helped everyone out and not one person died go us !? Legendary ftw we may still be small and have mostly low lvls but with the clans help we have got 2 dotw's in 2 days and are now working on another plus some other stuff clan needs! We had a spat with Pande tonight but we got over it picked ourselves up and went training cant keep us down!!!! Woot

When was this? I don't think I've been down there unless I was scuicide training a low lvl for a while... Then again drinking and training don't mix so it could have happened.

2nd Edit: Until recently there was also the same problem on nm main, pre-nopk. There were clans that dominated certain areas, yet myself as a noob player was still able to run those areas and get some drops w/o getting wrecked by dynasty, TC, TR or many of the other dominant clans that were once the heart and soul of NM main.

On main, anyone with a cleric, a mage and a few berserkers could snarl a boss party by spelling up and ripping out the clerics, and some areas (ie chronos) you simply needed 2 mages and you could destroy any party. The problems on main wernt dominating clans, but were (are) boss checking crits on sneaky non-log-to squares, and in the last few years, whole parties on these squares.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but the person who started it is now in charge of a clan himself, and may want to add on to what he started a bit ago.

How's it working out so far?

I see that Gecko is no longer running his clan and is now joined up with Jake. Those two should be a decent party, with a thief and a berserker. I wouldn't be surprised to have them stir up a little bit when some of the heavy hitters aren't on, although Jake can probably still do a little bit of damage by himself.

Well, hopefully all this talk about getting together to team up against Pande will work out someday. Personally, BK is working out well and we have started gaining a decent base to get us started. We're working on some rooms now and just kind of training up.
