Go train or something, Sand Spiders don't swear unless Mip Mip has a hidden meaning.
I've been playing for about 10 months now and have never noticed a problem with language outside clan chat (which is in know way restricted in mine), by the sounds of it a few people need a kick up the arse, but what the rest of us don't need is a Nightmist nazi state.

Now to support my initial post, I kill a modren art sculpture late last night getting over 50k gold off of it, I page the kid who was on that spot last a simple "thanks". (I figured his crit died) Suddenly he scrolls the hell out of my page and within one of these pages is abusive profanities. COME ON, fellow paci's who know me know that if this were to happen I'd give them thier lost gold no questions asked after a little bit of fun gloating. He then pages me again appologizing for this, but the one page simply just blew my mind. Needless to say, I didn't nor will I return his lost gold, but geez people, wtf is that thing Mommy & Daddy, were supposed to teach you growing up, called common respect??
I'm not going to page/memo staff about it simply because (just like some other people do) if I had a small child on one of my crits, The initial dammage is done, a simple ban isn't going to correct very much.

It just seems like a majority of the game has a problem with it, but yet some of us do it every now and then when someone gets us fired up or is just being a plain jackass. Like one dude said maybe we just need to train more w/e, but i dont think staff is going to do anything about the problem, they are busy with other prodjects, and their own lives atm. Its a big problem and it is offensive yes, but i guess the sad part is -dont let your kids play if you dont want them to see whut is most likely going to happen-. And if some little twerp gets offensive, leave the square or my favorite /ignore.
And to the comment about the music and violence and things we are exposed to everyday.... Its not the tv programming, its not the music, its how the people who are creating this media were raised. Its just how we develop as people, things in our society might get worse, they might not. But another thing, on basic cable theres a thing called 'censor'.... i watched the movie se7en and had to rent it in order to get anything good due to the fact almost an entire half of the the movie was cut... so that has to tell you something. Everything is blocked or cut or blah blah. On MTV they silence the words ''high'' and ''blood'', if your kids see things they should'nt it is your fault, there are lil things called ''parental controls'' on your tv, ''net nanny'' for your computer, and a thing such as locked doors to hide things they should'nt see.

Heeheehee. I started playing NM because people in RoK killed me all the time and NM was smaller. I hate RoK!! *tries to look scary* anyway, I am admitting that I am a RoK reject.Solution 1: Tell RoK to keep their server up.
Most of this crap started when members of Realms of Kaos started logging into nightmist because their game can't keep a server up for more than 5 minutes.

censorship... ugh... you're right, they censor everything, and worse now, since the Superbowl 'costume malfunction" almost every live event isnt live, its delayed to prevent it from happening again. Riddle me this... why are parents letting kids play violent video and computer games and then blaming the game for thier children being offensive little twits? go figure. And to the comment about the music and violence and things we are exposed to everyday.... Its not the tv programming, its not the music, its how the people who are creating this media were raised. Its just how we develop as people, things in our society might get worse, they might not. I do agree with the original post. There IS alot of swearing in the game. Not that I care much, becaue I have a mouth like a furnace, but my personal opinion is (as in a few of my other posts) it takes away from the role playing aspect of the game when people are swearing left and right at you.

Well, let me tell you something, it is not television, it's not games nor music that will shape your child for this life. It's their own parents that have duty to teach their own child morals and principles and prepare them for adult world. No ammount of cursing will make someone bad person, and I know this from my own parents, how they brought me up, how they tought me to respect other people and behave in front of other people. Curses are here to make our expression more juicy and generally enjoyable and if some parent is concerned about their baby turning into new Jeffrey Dahmer because of swearing, than don't let it sit in front of goddamn screen all day, but make it go outside to play in sand instead.
That being said, moose all of you sensitive mooses, meow is a good thing.
