12-22-2006 03:00:07, Trevayne: The portal of Harabec has fallen! (http://www.nightmist...showtopic=22791)
The Herald of Greed appears to be a decrepid, elderly man. His skin is sunken and yellowed, hanging from his frail frame like a poorly tailored suit, with a permanent frown transfixed into the skin of his face from years of use. His robes are worn and threadbare, with a rough and patched look that makes your skin itch even thinking about it. His eyes, however, tell a different story. Here you can see a burning desire, the intensity of which is enough to hold you in place with no thought of retreat. He holds a blade with rippled edge designed to leave lasting scars. The Herald of Greed is in a healthy condition.

It still took around 15 minutes for party of 60 archmasters to kill it. Nothing as bad as Satan though lol

Shrieking as he falls, the Herald of Greed lets out one final horrible moan:
No! The Portal! IT WAS TO BE MINE!
The tunnel begins to shake and the smell of fresh dirt fills the air. You have a sense that you should not stay here for long.

The raven seems to have scratched a message into the thick layer of dust that covers the floor. It is difficult to read the broken text, but you can make out the following:
I cannot interfere here... his domain...
Blackthorn... Disciple... no mortal steel... only... spel...
The remainder of the dusty writing is illegible.
it was made to be a mage kill.... so take a group of high lvl mages in there.... im trying to navigate with my druids and it is hard as hell, maybe someone can give me a hand..
the party can be still full of zerks and rangers to kill all the other things... but the boss is made to be a mage kill...

Ok, i have mapped and located the boss you need to kill in the Forest highway place.
It is mages and druids only.
Every one with mages and druids meet me at the NGH at 5PM game time and i will lead us in so we can nail it.
Lvl 25+ to fight it hits hard and fast. any one is welcome to bring plenty of low lvl druids full of mana/pots and dump it on the floor as we enter
Also note: Casting only - equip wis items if possible you have to SW it, so pack pots AND mana as you will be casting

specs i have are as follows...
Boss: Greed's Handmaiden / Handmaiden of Greed
/read: I cannot interfere here... his domain...
Resthaven... terrible venom... Handmaiden... unliving... must... heal...
means that its a Heal to Kill, paci and cleric paradise right, dont forget the evil nasty buggers that get in the way.... so still keep plenty of heavy hitters handy, i dont know if there is a block like there was in Enchanted Forest's portal...
directions: from RH south gates:
4 south, 5 west, 3 south.
good luck to all....and happy trails
Lets show this final portal boss what for.. and why they should NEVER return to our realm.. CHARGE!!
