With the Gloves of Vigor being this way, I feel the three stat-boosting gauntlets (Spider Gauntlets, Gloves of Vigor and Gauntlets of Virtue) are more evenly distributed over the classes and races.
For example, Halflings would normally opt for Gauntlets of Virtue to bring their Strength up to par with the other races, whereas Spider Gauntlets would suit their Dwarven counterparts better, as their Dexterity is lower. Gloves of Vigor seems to be preferred by magic users... Clerics, Mages, and especially Druids.
