*yawn* you guys bore the hell outta me...

"like omg, thefting is teh newbestest way yar! ed stole this and its the only thing i can say coz im retarded, and JLH shud do summit boot it yar, newbs, like omfg!!!111oneone (P.S im 1337)"

just stfu with all your pathetic whining. If you get stolen from it's your own fault. It's not even classed as stealing if you give out your name and password.

If i left my door wide open and gave my car keys to a random person on the street and told them where my house was, only to go home to find out that my car and furniture had gone, would the police do ANYTHING about it? no... because i left my house (account) open, and gave my keys (password) to just anybody.

Actually Zelimos they would do something about it. If any of YOur property was removed from Your house the person would be arrested for theft weather he the door was open or not. Case and point the cash box was stolen from work It was in an open office and the person is still going to be charged with felony theft when caught.

In the cases of sharing the person is caught we know who it is most of the time but they are hardly ever truly punished.

Theft is theft.
Someone gives you their crit to train, you steal it, they ask for it back, you don't give it back...It's stealing.
Someone gives you their password, you take their crits...Guess what, Yeah, It's stealing.

I don't know much about Ed/Bill's "ex-stealing" or what ever, cause I haven't played that long after reset. From what I've heard, they stole and w/e, and I heard the big rukus over them being un-banned. I do not think if someone steals once, they should be banned, people change. They should be given a warning, and have to give everything back they stole. Next time they steal, they should be banned. You should know who to trust. There is some people out there you can just tell are thieves, and theres others that are 100% safe. One of my good friends(that I don't know irl) knows my pass and account, nothing has ever been stolen, unless he's taking 1 gold a day. /glare. Just be careful
I only log on to check memos, and rare chat. See you all on the other side.

Who's to say they won't give everything back? They could still profit or benefit off the stuff if they didn't give back every single thing they stole. Which happened in both of my cases. I trusted the one.. because we shared for nearly a year.. didn't have a fall out or anything.. but.. I don't trust him anymore. I've just came to learn that trusting people on here is very limited.

I can honestly say im one of the better nm players, and I worked for it all this time.

i love it when people are proud about stuff they do on the net. "i'm one of the best players on nightmist, and i've worked really hard for it." what's that saying for themselves?

So I guess we just play online/offline games to make friends; no we also play games to beat them, have fun, be the best we can be and being proud of accomplishing something over this game says what about u actually?
So you go on the forums to complain about someone being proud. What's that saying about you.

Some people actually enjoy Nightmist for what it is, a game :P Yes a game ^_^ With all the drama that is in the game, sometimes people forget that it is a game. I brag when I play good on my PS2, or my Xbox, why can't he brag when he does good on a P.C game?

Even when we do help someone get their stuff back, we can't punish the thief if he/she was -given- the stuff can we?

Given being the whole sharing and other circumstances thing (stupidity may fit better).

Wes they are given acess to an account at no time did the owner of that account tell them they were allowed to change the pass or to remove the crits, Or any equipment. Therefore they are still doing something with out permission. Having access to your house or your buesness office does not give you the right to remove anything from there with out the owners approval. Therfore it is still theft, and the person can be punished.

EDIT and no giving the keys doesnt make it my house, or my office it makes it mine on loan, but in the end i have to still leave it exactly as i found it or, Copied from the laws of germany, the US, and england. Removal of property from a residence or office without the consent of the owner can earn you up to 12 years in jail for felony theft. 12 years is the stronger of the three countries (england) the weakest being the US at 10 years.

So?

This isn't real life, no cops here. It's every man for himself and the only limits are the ones coded in the game. And laws are useless without someone making sure people will hold themselves to it. In real life that's what cops and the likes do, who get payed for cleaning up your crap....so unless you pay quit whining.

Maarten, I don't think you fully grasp the meaning of the word "whining". Whining means complaining, crying about something that happened to you. Lich was never stolen from, neither was I. We are stating opinions, that's all.

Angelus here is a fantastic idea, Why dont you go be in the Real life you supposedly found, But still astonishingly enough, have enough time to come on here and post your meanger unwanted and uneeded words, or does this supposed real life only go when it comes to logging on your crits.

If I am not mistaken you quit the game, meaning that you left, you are no longer apart of the equation. If you want your opion heard come back in the game. I think the only reason that you don't like people talking about this topic is because, I think you might just be a theif yourself. I think you are worried that if any rules applying to thieves were ever implemented you would find yourself on the screwed end of the Shivy stick.

I also find it Fin funny as life itself that the only people on here whining about it are people who I wouldn't trust with a hand axe let alone an account and don't even try and feed us that we are just tired of seeing these kinds of posts. You dont have to read them, hell you don't even have to open them because the topic says exactly what it is, YOU can choose to ignore it, you can choose to not open it, and you can choose to not read it. But you dont and we have to put up with your insetant whining OHHHH GOD NO DONT PUT THESE RULES IN PLACE.. I might get banned.
