The amount of petty arguments developing over the forum recently shows you what this game is turning into, and anyone with half a brain cell knows its not good.
I'm sure lots of people are willing to help, but as Bishop said, we are getting pushed away.

Exactly! My theory of an RPG is that it shouldn't be based on how quick your computer, or internet connection is. I've known many of times that while I got pked, its not that i couldn't beat the other person, its simply that they can click me faster than my 64 mb of ram, and 56k internet can handle. If NM2 comes out and its based on intellegence, and how well you can play the game. As in dungeons and dragon roleplaying or something similar. The more creative and clever your actions are defines how well you are in the game. Frankly, if this were to be true in NM2, half the people who 'OWN' people wouldn't have the mental copasity to even be a challange without their alts and their highspeed connections. Then who gets owned. The problem is that, for most, nightmist is no longer a game. It's a tool used to get some sort of ego boost, similar to a drug in many ways. Players have cheated on their friends, stolen and abused like an addict would in search of a hit, and all that is important is that they carry on getting their high. Which in this case is 'becoming powerful'. In my mind there is no question about it - The game is ruined. Alts are no longer 'characters' they are simply additions to help fool yourself into thinking your better. No emphasis is put on who is the best explorer/friend/team mate, simply who can log on more alts and click faster.

With 4 alts (or even less) it would not be impractical to have non-clickers in my party (atm its just rangers/zerkers/thieves and a couple of clerics),
Anyway, yeah, don't have much of a point to make, but change is definitely good in this case
Bring on NM2!
it's plausible that the SOB hasn't spawned

I did sayOnly using one alt would simply not work but having one of every class now that might work.
Keep in mind the way it was suggested to work as a team .......some people are just not team players
this means you have to work together as a team . . . or use potions when training
I've arched several crits in the past using only one alt at a time so it is very possible . . .
I know back then exp values were very different and arenas were full experience however . . . these values can be very easily modified to accommodate using one alt again

Yes... but if we're paying to play NM2 we have more of a leg to stand on and more of a right to complain. You do realize that even if NM2 comes to be, people will still find something to whine about? I'm not saying that changing the current situation is bad, I'm all for it... but it won't be the miracle cure some of you are hoping it will be.
It won't be possible to go "It's a free game, I run it my way, and if you dont like it thats tough- be happy with what you have" because thats not a way to run a business.
If NM2 is pay to play... it will hopefully be more of a "Right, you think this is wrong eh? Okay, many people agree with you..? Ah yes, they're talking to me now. We'll see what we can do to make you want to keep paying me/us"
Hopefully

*agreed*...the way a person acts when they are volenteering to do something is usally the way they act when they are being paid to do it, and its what you show people that make them want to pay you and right now I would not be oneof the people paying. Not because i can't but because i wont.

edit- You also can't really expect people to try all that hard to do so (refering to JLH). Sure, he might not have NM has his sole priority, but that is good. If he didn't have better things to do than baby a bunch of NM players, he would be a pathetic little man.
I don't really see any way of making NM a better community....it's all just a competition to most people. There's not a lot that anyone can do to fix that.
Sure, new areas, weapons, bosses, and maybe classes would be nice to see. A new system entirely might as well be a new game entirely. I agree with the the statement about doing something without being paid and doing it with being paid. Being paid just means it is more stressful and that you're doing wrong by people if you don't do the work. I doubt I'd pay to play with how NM has seemed to be...

I agree to the fullest, couldn't of said it better myself. You can't fix a game full of morons and assholes.
