Ok, perhaps a skeletal set... be really REALLY cool for rping, maybe these could be sometimes dropped instead of SoF, and do special stat affect thingies instead of armor., or maybe another boss like that in the around area.

What exactly would a constitution modifier do, sorry if I'm being a moron in asking so, but anyways. My logic behind asking: Wisdom modifiers don't increase the amount of MP you gain at a level up, and con only affects HP gain, and Theifs. The Skeletal Shield can't be worn by theifs, so what would the benefit of the Con mod have? Nothing really that I can see, unless someone has something else to point out that I missed/don't know?

I personally dont think there should be NEW items per se, but a wider variety of items.

Like something that is exactly the same as the enchanted bow in every way, except it has a different name.

This could be done with armor too, and would make characters largly customizable.

yeah they have started to do that a lil already - alot of harabec items are the same as others with diff names - is good idea

Acctually, If I could get a list of all the higest end weapons and armor I could write up a whole crapload of new armors and weapons to be alternates to the current weapons/armors.

Of course I would only do that if it has a chance of going in at all, so..... would it? Someone let me know :)

Well really this thread has been led off topic. It was designed for boss drops and boss idea, not alternate equipment, so that being said, back on topic!

Uhm it kinda makes the item more interesting and worth while... and if someone were to go to the lag monster and get a drop that did nothing special then heh im sure they would be pretty angry.

Deval i think you misunderstood what i meant, im not saying all items need to have stat mods but seeing as the lag monster is the least killed and probobly the hardest boss in game that somthing such as the item i suggested should come from it... also i was going with the theme of the boss since he drops an amulet wich adds 1 to dex.

I don't like the gaunts idea really (for lag monster), doesn't seem like a good addition to me really...

I think it would be nice to have some wis mod gaunt...i like wis..what can i say, it must be that cleric main of mine lol.

I think as an alternate for Lythanzir would be best for it.

Lythazir makes the most sense to me, the desc. would need to be different and they could be the gloves from him. make it go 50/50 with SoDR. Level requirement of 27 like DR.

I think it would be nice to see an alternate item of spider gauntlets put in game, not on lag monster because his drop is worth more than 3x that of SGs, but i dont think SGs with additional 1 armor should be put in because the aolp doesnt give an extra amor over aoh, it's more of a prestige (sp?) item and one you dont have to buy. Maybe give laggy your drop idea just without the 1 armor...it'd make some trips to him upsetting in my opinion though because people would get a drop worth far less than aoh and one that is also dropped by a boss, so no real store considered price...far less good than aolp basically.

I do think that the lag monster dropping a dex mod makes sense, and i do not think an alternate drop for him w/o a dex mod would be a good idea, not for more reason than it is the lag monster tradition, really i would rather him not even have an alternate drop, i like his 100% AoLP-ness....they're becomming rare even since the bartender is no longer killed with key drop.

Titan's Helm
Armor base: 12, Can be worn by: fighters Description: A helmet that seems to have many dents and scraps all along the top and sides of it. How such a strong metal was dented is beyond comprehension. No where else is the solid of this helm found. No blacksmith can seem to shape it or melt it for anything other than the bowl like helmet it currently forms. Level needed to equip it: 28, Strength modifier: 0, Intelligence modifier: 0, Dexterity modifier: 0, Constitution modifier: 0, Wisdom modifier: 0, Charisma modifier: 0.


It'd be a new drop, I think a new area for only fighters and zerkers would be nice, this could be the drop for it? Maybe take Adamant Warhammer out of shops and make it a 50/50 drop.

It is an Enchanted Bow that has a 5 level higher requirement. I realize that some would be upset to get a bow worse than one that costs 10k in shops rather than a Crystal Ring that is worth about 220k atm.

The bow really would be an item just for people who want to look spiffy. I would pay more than 220k for one if the drop rate were low and there weren't too many floating around. About 5 out of 100 CG kills would result in a shard bow. So lets pretend like there are 33.3 days in a month to make this math simple. 100 CG kills in 3 months resulting in 5 shard bows. That means that there would be very few in game for a good while....i dont think people would complain about it being alt on CG, especially with the whole fact that the CG's drop now isnt even the most armor of rings in game that aren't rares.

I would just like to see the Old Hermit drop something. Right now it's kind of pointless boss :) (and I don't have any ideas for it.)

/clap gaddy for not putting stat mods on any of those.

And I can think of two things I would want on a weapon more than stats, as well as one thing on any other piece....

That, and If items could do more stuff like increased stam regen, or health regen or something other than put up base stats.... as is there isnt much room for an improvement in items beyond giving them a different name so people can diversify. :)

i dont believe you should make them 'feminen' on the basis that our female population is so incredibly low. But beside the point, i think it doesnt make sense for a boss drop to be tailored to 1 set of of sex. However, i do like the name and description, i just think the feminen qulaity should be left out of drops
