One thing to remember is, Hit rate/dodge rate/ etc... become a lot higher as you gain in experience. Hence lower lvls missing mobs more often. So even though you are testing against characters of the same level, their crit strike chance is not as high as say a lvl 35+.

What I was trying to say is why does warrior tunic give so much and give up so little? Why does the best in slot fighter armor not only give the highest amount of str per item but also 20% damage reduction from magic?
So far I have said I have no problem with absorb and I don't mind the stat at all. However, I said that the way it is currently designed .2 absorb on Warrior Tunic is broken.
I have said that Absorb should have to be something you should choose to stack at the cost of more than a few armor, especially when you are also gaining +2 str (the highest str mod ingame). I don't mind 20% absorb being obtainable, I don't even mind a little more. What I was saying is that it shouldn't be something instant on an item you would use even if it wasn't there.
If I want to stack dex on my mage im usually sacrificing stats on something else in one way or another. Dex ammy I give up armor and broomstick I give up armor and charisma.
If I want to stack armor I sacrifice dex or intel.
If I want to stack intel I give up armor and dex.
Why should I get 20% damage reduction (not "absorb" its 20% pure damage reduction) and gain 2 str?
That was my argument. I'm not against "absorb", i'm against Warrior Tunic giving you 20% damage reduction and being the highest str mod in the game.
My solutions were (concerning Warrior Tunic):
Make absorb chance based (just like hitting/dodge/fizzle/resist/etc/etc... you know like everything else in nightmist?)
Lower the absorb on Warrior tunic
Get rid of the str mods on Warrior Tunic.
Fighters and Critical Strike and how classes are balanced is a different discussion.

i think that makes sense somewhat but i also think that WT is the first in a long line of many new and improved gears for 30+ i think it will all work out
Sadly, absorb is currently un-counterable and if they made a way to counter it, tt would seem pointless to have it. I believe WT was a step in the wrong direction on how to improve gear post 30.
An item that sacrificed armor for magic resist would make a lot of sense. If it didn't come with more damage out put as well.

still dont feel warrior tunic is broken or a detremental item for nightmist.
especially now that its less armor
My armor that is equipped:
Armor base: 48, Can be worn by: fighters, Description: This black armor is adorned with weavings of enigmatic golden runes. Whilst looking impressive, the runes provide no actual function, as designed with appearance over functionality in mind., Level needed to equip it: 25, Strength modifier: 0, Intelligence modifier: 0, Dexterity modifier: 0, Constitution modifier: 0, Wisdom modifier: 0, Charisma modifier: 0, Absorb spell: 0, Single equip: 0.
Warrior Tunic
Armor base: 32, Can be worn by: fighters, paladins, Description: This finely made tunic covers the wearers torso. On the front sits a woven crest from an ancient family line of drows. To the rear, it has the language of the drows wrote across the back., Level needed to equip it: 32, Strength modifier: 2, Intelligence modifier: 0, Dexterity modifier: 0, Constitution modifier: 0, Wisdom modifier: 0, Charisma modifier: 0, Absorb spell: 0.2, Single equip: 0.
just equipping this armor i would now lose 16 armor that would take my total armor from 103 to 87, i have 343 hp so to be clicked or rounded with my 103 armor someone would have to hit 446, if i equipped WT they would only have to hit 430 and with warrior tunic i might gain about 7 dmg per stam and still be unable to round anything

Fighters were absolutely fail against mages/druids, they always had been.
I believe that was the point of such a tunic getting absorb, it wasn't supposed to be a trade off item imo, it was supposed to be the best.
CS kinda fixed fighters super sucking against mages/druids, Tunic really doesn't need the absorb anymore, or atleast, not as much.

We shall see
i need a warrior tunic specifically for you, how many times have you popped out and absolutely destroyed my paladin when it had full hp and bracelets of antimagic? its definately everytime youve tried. sovereign also has 22 wisdom, was 1 level lower then you, never resisted or partially resisted, and you only used 5 stam. what defense does a paladin have against you? warrior tunic. thats my defense, an item 10 people need to get together and kill to hopefully get 1 and thats it. if i run up on someone and attempt to kill them, i wont pk any person over the level of 25. not saying every class should be able to pk, but every class should have some type of defense against more then 1 class (fighters).
