I think he meant all the current bids. A 16mil increase is quite a large step.
I'm sure there are several people out there with more than 60mil in gold alone (not everyone uses banked gold to boost their character score).

If you're into decking out a crit, it's well worth 60m. Probably the best item in game...at least in my opinion.
