the secend someone dies they come right back to where they were and die again and again I mean its just annoying there should be some time limit to when they come back...


sure its free pks but I mean damn is it annoying

If your sitting in petes, or pking right outside a town. Expect them to re-appear in 2 and a half seconds.

Well if they make it that you cant go to the square you died in for 5 min. What if you are pked 1 south of nm I wont like having ot wait 5 min. to get to where i was going.

yeah, i like to PK down south, and it's funny when they come running back for more.

about a year back, i had my archs and what not, a load of Warriors of the Mist started attacking me under BT, and i just slaughtered them all, and they kept running back in their lil groups trying to fight me as if i was some kinda boss monsters.

I am 100% behind the "if you die you have to sit in the pub you spawn in for 5 minutes" idea :)
If I were the rain... that binds together the Earth and the Sky, whom in all eternity will never mingle... would I be able to bind two hearts together?

Make it for lvl 5 crits and up only then, cause you die every sec when you're lvl 1. Not good if you wan't more people to start playing :)

hell was just an example, i didn't say it HAD to be hell.

and the idea was that this wouldn't happen if killed by monsters? i think it should. and if not, levels 1-5 wouldn't get PKed anyway.

in a mud which i play sometimes when you die you go either hell or in heaven when you die you can only talk in channel called ghost channel which some players listen ... so then you ask if anybody could resurrect and someone usually does ... but ofcourse you can pray your way out of there but you lose all ur exp ( not that bad think you might think cuz exping is bit diffrent in there ) when someone resurrects you you dont lose that much exp ...

similar solution in nm should be something like when you die you go to heaven/hell and then you can pray your way outta there lose the exp you would lose normally or you could ask for ressurect so clerics should have the ability to resurrect someone and when they do you dont lose exp at all ... the down side would be that it would take some time and you could not do it with alt which is a cleric ... you could chat in clan chat or with anybody in hell/heaven or in a friend chat to ask if someone could ressurect you.

There is not going to be a heaven and/or hell in Nightmist. We should steer clear of that whole dealy.

i agree... die_die_die on that lil 1 crit has stole mayor 2 times from me and its because he comes back over and over and over... and finally gets kill...i think there should be like a 1and 1/2-2min period...

I think that death should cause you to lose all stamina, causing you to have to wait 10 secs to move on a crit that just died. I think the actual problem is when people come back RIGHT after they are killed to hit a person who was severely wounded by them before they were killed.

I see no reason to make a person wait 2 mins+ because of dying. That would make it quicker to simply log off and back on. Just make them wait for stamina and most of the problem should be gone.



btw, rappy's person (Die_die_die) sits in Sarka and annoys people at the mayor. He says that he wants to be ranked for most # of deaths or something like that. It is rather annoying to have someone come back every 15 secs hitting one of your crits just to be a nusiance, but he's no real threat and nightmist shouldn't be out to change major things in game simply because there are some dumb people. I would hate to see it changed to anything more than a 30 sec wait after dying, training lower levels, even 10-15, would be kind of annoying...5 mins...honestly...do you guys know how long 5 mins really is in Nightmist? (and i dont mean nightmist time, i mean playing 5 mins is a long time, druid's whole morph lasts 5 mins and it seems like a long long time while i train)

I remember wanting to make a crit... just to see how many kills I'd get... because I'd get THAT bored.

It's fun killing the person... but, gets tiring after awhile.

As for them coming back.... definitely lame and annoying. Need to face the fact that they died. I do agree with Gaddy though. There's no need for someone who has just been killed to sit in pub/hell for more than at least 10 seconds or so.

I agree with Gaddy, though perhaps do it a little differntly. Ressurect with 1 stamina and 1hp/mp. that way you have no desire to run right back to battle. It is annoying to be in a duel, kill someone then have them come right back.

im not so sure about that lose more exp if killed by the same person within 5 mins ...
on the other hand it would really stop people from runnig back.

im more with "losing all stamina when death occurs"

Yeah, but Bean, what if someone is training close to town, and happens to be killed by a very powerful monster every time they go onto that square?

Not that difficult.

Besides, If you die more than once in a minute with a character your training... train somewhere easier. I've never died that much even on a lvl 1...

Besides, Its their fault for being retarded, and proceeding to walk back onto a square on which a monster killed them in the blink of an eye.

But yes, I meant it to only be for player kills.
