^ lol ^As many agree with me, I believe there should be a 1 character limit. (not alt as stotic said )
Simon, I think that was what he intended to say.

Why would you want an alt limit anyway... takes away fun from deh game
You think it's fun now? You should have played when nobody used alts. THAT was fun. THIS is ridiculous. Honestly, what kind of game forces you to use 14 characters at one time just to keep up?

Nightmist is a highly-involved icon/text-based MUD (Multi User Dungeon). Create a fully-customizable character with distinctive strengths and weakness. Choose from one of nine classes, each one significantly influencing how you experience the game. Interact with players from around the world. Form allegiances and travel expansive regions, questing for riches, priceless artifacts, and most importantly, fame.
A Quote from the opening page of Nightmist. Something tells me Nightmist lost it's direction somewhere along the way. The game, as displayed in the introductory dialogue, was not intended to be played with alts
It's time for action, or at the very least, to change the introductory text... Along with getting rid of that stupid bat.

I can handle myself alright on a party of 3, 4 is what i prefer though. Really, for the past month or two I've mostly been on the party of 12 I'd been using to kill bosses, i would never consider fighting on more than 5 crits, i dont think anyone can truely tell you they handle more than 7+ crits efficently enough to fight a decent party (that is w/o hit and runs, in which case going though 7+ crits could leave you vunerable to attacks from others..if you leave anything standing).

thats whats friends and clans are for :-/I don't support any type of alt limit. The game has developed in ways that force you to use multiple alts. There is no way people could really survive in the desert or jungle and such if they only had one crit. Don't even try to say people would work together more, it would simply cause many many fights over things.

seriously though man, you want to play a game with a 1 character limit, i suggest you find those games here, because a character limit aint gunna happen, neither will an alt limit.

dude RPGs are awesome. I would love for nightmist to be a RPG...and you never know, an alt/character limit may be put in someday. As you can see, some of the staff agree it should be done to.no limits, because we wouldn't want this game to turn into a role-playing game would we.

So your saying that the great Pandilex and JLH can't set up a "1 character per ISP" thing? It's impossible to stop people from making multiple accounts/characters, so this would end up being identical to the discussed 1-alt limit.

The way nm is currently set up, and how it should be as far as I am concerned, more then one alt is neaded, as all classes have weakness's and must rely on others to cover the chinks in their armor so to speak. Druids, being the closest class to being self sufficiant.

Lol, Druids don't have many chinks in their... what is it... 100 something armor.I could see an alt limit of 3-5 working but one is rediculous. if you are for it, you should be playing a paci.. and reap the added benefits of being invincible.

So technically what your suggesting is you'd just prefer a game where there is absolutely no diversity amongst the players and their characters, with literally no specific strengths or weaknesses huh?
