After pre-ordering this bad-boy nearly a month ago, I finally got it today (release was yesterday, March 24th).

If you're wondering, (for those clueless gamers), what the PSP is, it's Sony's new little handheld toy.

Featuring a crisp 4 inch LCD screen, movie, music, gaming, and internet compatabilities this hand-held is da shiznit.

I was wondering if anyone else got this? If so, what games?

There's only 1 cool feature about DS; it has innovation. The dual-screen with the touch aspect.

Unfortunately for DS.... PSP has way better graphics, on-line gaming, MP3 player, plays movies, not too mention the game selection is way better. Most Nintendo games are focused on the younger audience.

Yup yup, the movies of coarse are the UMD's (universal media discs), and they'll be in stores soon. Basically just like DVD's except focused on PSP.

My PSP came with Spider-Man II movie.

I'm now thinking I might get one. GT4 and MGS are factors, but what really pushed me over the edge is the ability to put video onto the memory sticks.

So here's a question for those that have it:
Have you had any problems with cd skipping/launching?

edit: /t sean Seems all of the games for PSP (so far) are region free.

And btw since DS dosent compete directly with xbox rare will be allowed to make DS games. That means Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong +more(better not be banjo pilot lmao.)

Is that meant to persuade people to buy a DS? If so, it isn't working If I get either (and I'm not sure that I will), it will almost definitely be a PSP. Not only does the PSP have much better specs and features, the games available (and that have been announced) are far more appealing to me.

PsP is totally awesome. I got one a day early (March 23) cause I have connections! There is no flaw with anything. Its like having a mini flat screen movie player that has good games and many other awesome features! I love mine and I can't wait till Grand Theft Auto come out on it in May! Bottom line - PsP rules Nintendo Ds sucks compared to this!

PSP has a faulty button cause it's to close to the screen. Meaning if you press it..sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't..

It can get very annoying, they knew about it before actually bringing it out. But they didn't wanne move the button away from the screen or make the thing bigger...

Actually, that was improved on the American version, but if yours does happen to have that problem, sony will replace/fix it for free.

Last question: How's it (the PSP) for noise level?

i got 1 and even with the 10+ dead pixels its still really nice. i really dont understand how neone can say a ds with graphics like a n64 can be as good as a psp with graphics like a ps2 but i guess they just havnt seen a psp

Yah, Sony released an article about the faulty sqaure button. This was true, in some cases, over seas.... they were all fixed before US release.

I did hear that they are halted, obviously that can't be for good.

SOund is good, cool with given headphones too.

Sorry for not clerifying. I meant sound from the machine itself, such as when it spins the disk. For example, my dreamcast violated city noise ordanences.
