I think I would give it a shot to see how p2p NM developes. Hopefully the playerbase will be a bit better then, since a lot of the people I dislike will probably not bother or be able to afford paying. And after all it's the majority of the players that ruin the game in it's current form, since I still believe the game itself is great.

in some ways, p2p isn't about the money, it's about making a better game. this is because the only people who will pay are the people who enjoy the game and want to take part in it rather than just to make everyone's life a missery. i doubt many people would pay just to annoy other people, and anyway, bans are much more effective when credits could be removed from your account

It depends.. if its 'Nightmist 2' that is P2P then I'd definately give it a shot, but if it is this version of NM then I wouldn't.

I would play the P2P version - might be a sad moment waving goodbye to our crits from this Nightmist, but we will all be starting fresh at the same level on Nightmist 2. It will be interesting to see what we come across.

I don't know. Currently, I am enjoying Nightmist how it is right now. If NM2 came out, causing a reset basically...I would find it hard to bother starting over. I like NM, and I would pay for NM if it wasn't too much or to difficult to send in, but with how things are...I'd be better off not starting to play NM again if I was finally forced off of it.

what i got from jlh is that nm2 will be p2p but that nm1 will still remain just with less updates and with a worse connection really but nm2 has all new maps and all that stuff

jlh said charge will be minimal like 30 cents for 1 crit for a month. but this was long ago when he didn't have two lines to pay for i think. and i can't garantee nuts i'm just say'n what i remember from jlh telling me and what he wrote on the forum.

I've played a game, where it did reset 3 times, lol, first version about 100 people, 2nd time it reset, half that, and 3rd time it reset, like 14 people.

I would p2p, depending on the circumstances, costs, and how different would nm2 really be from nm1

well for one im guessing events would be ran on time...if they werent then theres no way i would p2p because thats a pretty big thing

the way pandilex has explained the criteria for going p2p in the past, i'd pay for that. however, if nightmist just went p2p tomorrow nothing would change other than i would have to find a staffer to hold my crit because i don't like the idea of it being deleted or just entirely purposeless or dormant.

I was under the impression that NM2 would pretty much be whatever Opal Spheres promised (which is an idea I love).

Back on topic, I wouldn't be able to pay for NM 2.

lol when i left i asked jlh on nm2 he said it will happen and when i asked for an estimation on when it was finished he said a couple of months.

Hopefully it does, this game needs a good reset. All of you saying 'I would hate a reset because i would lose all the things i worked for!' True, but if you did it once, then you can do it again. There were alot of people pre-reset that welcomed it with open arms...why? Because change is good!!!!

Yeah its a pain in the ass to re-gain your things, but new maps/items/races/classes would be so worth the work, dont you think?
