As you know, the guilds for levels 35+ are not in, even though there have been rumors of them being done, ready to go, etc, etc.

I ask, that if they are not going to go in anytime soon, at least take off the level exp cap so that the ones who can not gain any more exp can at least use their crits for the foreseeable future. It is not the players fault that this has not been put in, and the players should not be punished for this lack of w/e the case may be.

While I understand your frustration, your solution isn't one that is likely to work.

Removing/changing the cap requires JLH.

Settling on guilds for 1a requires Oracle/Scripto/Tecton.

Guess which bunch you're more likely to get a response from?

just stop at 35, why you think i quit nm and gave away the first lvl 35 on 1a? I'm jk. Just allow the token system for now until a new system is in place and figure a way to repay those who payed way too much to level.

Now the server is functioning normally again, I really hope we can get together and get this sorted like now. We'll keep you posted when any decisions are made :ph34r:

Any news yet Staff? Kind of unfair that it's been 3 weeks without being able to level. And now there is a second player who is also able to level to 36. I don't mean to be a turnip, but shouldn't we get some sort of update on this situation?
There is also a third player only 50 mil from level exp, and a fourth just 150 million away.

Seems only fair that the cap should be removed for lvl 35, for the time being. They can't level up at no fault/choice of their own. imo. It's bad enough they can't level when they're ready. But now they can't even get any more exp.

Retired... Now I know how it feels to quit NM and troll forums.

An update from staff would be:

We are still working on developing a proper and possible method of leveling, and that takes time.
We do not want to just rush something in place because this is quite an achievement, and it should be marked as such.

You have to realize, we're trying to develope this stuff on a system that is still relatively new. We don't know exactly how to work with it, and it was just dropped on the team without any real guide or design.
It takes time to try to do things right.

Well, ty Gaddy for the update. I'm sure you can understand my frustration about this event.
I understand that you want this to be challenging and fair at the same time, as do Devotchka
and others who are at level exp or close. It's just been a long time in the making, Memphis
and Freek firrt inquired about it back on 01/06/208:

So yeah even been any talk about how this is gonna be between staff? Because not much longer it will take till need to be put in..

Sad part is... we have been workin on it since then... but... we are use to balancing things on mutli.. its alot different on 1alt which we have to be careful, we have go threw many many ideas, but many have something wrong with them somewhere that causes it not to work, usually causing problems for the future which we don't want to make.

I could imagine how difficult it could be.

But what about uncapping exp as some sort of tiny consolation, seems only fair tbh.

I'm wondering. Is staff looking to develope a system for lvl 36-40? And if you are, are you looking to do it all in one shot, like how lvl 31-35 was? Why not do lvl 36 for now, and tweak that for lvl 37-40?

Ah well until something else happens I wont even attempt to level achilles... was messing around in petes with Walt and Nick and got clicked 3 times ina row by walt... and a few times by nick..... No possible way i can round either of them though :ph34r:

Ahh, c'mon on Jono! In my opinion mages aren't supposed to be a superior dueling class when it comes to arena fighting. They obviously can't use their invisibility and mages aren't tanks. Mages use their magic abilities to lurk the shadows and surprise attack! When it comes to real PKing (eg out of town) you have the upper hand on them. :ph34r:

The upperhand comes from not running out of stam, thus being able to re-invis.
You can wait til the player you're attacking is already lower on HP, etc.

You could also simply choose to bring 3-4 characters along invisible with you, which is the real power of mages in PKing...suprise.

Gaddy hit what I was going for right on the nose.

Given the situations Gaddy mentioned you may not always get the final kill shot but if played correctly you definitely shouldn't die often on a mage.
