I dont think high-end boss drops should be craftable. not much to elaborate on the situation so ill keep it short.
Library info for Imperial Escutcheon:
Armor base: 23, Can be worn by: fighters, paladins, Description: The Imperial Escutcheon is a recent innovation in shield design for the Empire of Harabec; based on the heater style, it is thicker around the rim and has a very subtle saddle-shaped curvature that is concave laterally and convex vertically, serving to deflect spears and other thrusted polearms straight up or down, thus breaking the adversary's defence, while also directing damage from sword blows to the thickened edges, thus while easily getting chipped, greatly minimises the chances of a critical structural failure, although its mithril composition adds to its durability. Its proven success in a quashing a recent peasant revolt has led the king to permit the escutcheon of Harabec's coat of arms to be sported upon its face, hence its present name, including a large sapphire gem embedded flush against its surface., Level needed to equip it: 32, Strength modifier: 0, Intelligence modifier: 0, Dexterity modifier: 0, Constitution modifier: 0, Wisdom modifier: 0, Charisma modifier: 0, Absorb spell: 0, Single equip: 0.
for instance, that should be 22bd... kunal is really hard and sentinel shield and keeshe are near questie status and shouldnt be devalued by introduction of craftable items. just putting it out there.. would hate to see credenza drops and stuff like that(a big part of why people still grind) be easily obtainable in alternate names.. i like the idea of similar items that arent quite as good is my point i guess...

Edit: I forgot a boss drop you need for it, so you have to kill 1 boss 5 times at least and another boss 1 time.

And as pointed out, it won't get you to the Credenza and is level 32, not level 30.

p.s what is the name of the fighter you'd wanna put it on?
and what do you mean anything that makes a party get together is a bad addition?
Partying up is what this game is about

3-5 dedicated people are alot easier to find than 10+, thus this shield exists already. Is it harder? I've always judged how hard something in on 1a by how many people it takes, because..lets get real, Nightmist isn't hard, it's just time. Only needing 2 people..that's just rediculous, even with sacrifice. Mithril can be easily collected, without any dying or gold consumption (meaning profit off mobs), with just 4 people.
Ttk should just be modded to be easier imo, it's not going to get done without that or cheating, or a pick up of playerbase, which..oh, funny, it just got hurt some more. Good job team
I think areas that take a party as a good idea, just..the right size party. Cinderforge seems a much better addition since it got toned down, and now people can enjoy it (well, more of it). I only wish the rest of the game could be the same.

Edit: also on the difficulty level, it took years for us to get a sentinel shield, it took maybe 1 week to craft the shield......

And lets be realistic about this, killing kunal isnt to get best shield in game or best dagger, its about gettting keys to get ceramic javelin (2nd best druid weapon/cobalt bow) and azoic bracelet

Regardless of how much xp you lost doing it....it was crafted in a week, with less than it takes to take down Ku'Nal, which devalues the sentinel shield as a shield and makes it basically a key.
I've been going to the area for 3 months. it certainly wasnt crafted in a week.

Whats spawn rate on seams? hourly? whats drop rate?
Alot of things to consider but overall i see the shield as a high lvl equip that was well needed for pallys/fighters.. leaning more towards pallys but fighters are lucky to benefit aswell. I wish pallys would get their own gear so when staff start nerfing stuff on fighters they dont fk with pallys aswell example: warrior tunic
As for the crafting recipe.. it is alittle weak and very easy to obtain with 2 shaft keys

Tirantek was designed for multi and to be difficult on a party of 20, or at least to be somewhat of a challenge. It's no wonder the place is a ghost town on the 1A server, especially with as small a playerbase as we have these days. Because the mechanics of Tirantek are broken for the player base we have isn't any reason to denounce this new area. I'm thankful it's possible to get nice gear these days rather than wishing that:
(1) Someday there will be enough people to attempt Tirantek.
(2) The party succeeds on the first attempt, a second attempt almost never happens since people log etc.
(3) A desirable item drops.
(4) Actually win the (in all likely hood 10% or worse) random odds of winning the item.
If I can put my time in in a treacherous area and come up with everything needed to make a nice item rather than hopelessly waiting for the above to happen, I'm happy!

Sure you might have been going there for 3 months but dude u have gotten how many mithril circlets? now a shield, and prob working on the next item. I honestly dont see crafting ANY of these items hard.. I could just run solstice in and sit on one square owning the seam until i get 14 ores and leave.. i dunno if u were just being greedy and going out of your way to get ores and getting ownt by ice wraiths or w/e but damnn 500m? ur doing something wrong lol. Maybe making the area l2l would fix these problems with only 2 ppl being able to kill and make it a group effort so in the end you random the mithril or however u wanna go about it. l2l would atleast make it harder to get all the mithril u need since u would have to keep killing maurader to get the key to go back, or just take lots of food/water and sit and do nothing all day lol.. that is of course if u have a few ppl willing to help u kill maurader day in and day out for you.

as far as me crafting one, i plan on it.
Took alot more then a few clicks to kill bile worm kit.. it shallowed you whole for 900 dmg and also spawned zombies, it took me and JP 3 hrs learning the spawn points and then chasing it all around the world. Of course it was already hit on many times by say piddy with an adept cleric but hey i felt the need to kill it one night and went for it, i was just lucky enough to get the ks. Alot of ppl lost tons of xp and time, just came down to luck

I still think its mooseing stupid, but that wasnt the point of the post. It was to ensure that more like this wasnt done, because it is rendering mass cooperation useless. And i have been talking about trying to boss with the server with the clan lately and im pretty sure the whole server would be apt to do so. But if 5-8 people can make the same items would you want to mess with it?
Im sorry but that guild title you hold and share with your guildies is not a very trustworthy one even with a deleted mage, 90% of the server dislikes most you, good luck with organizing server boss trips

Personally I think that those who still play NM should all band together into one clan and clear bosses every day, obtain tokens at will when needed, and hold internal events as often as everyone wishes to satisfy the PvP urges, but I know there are a few people that do and will always hate each other to the end making that difficult. While it would be nice for the server to cooperate together in separate clans, I just don't see it happening with any regularity at all, required or not.
The reality is that things need to start being completable or at least somewhat possible to complete with smaller groups than they have been in the past or things will continue to rarely be done and people will continue to fade away.
Whoever implemented this stuff (presumably Stig), keep up the good work giving us things reasonably accomplishable given the dwindling playerbase!
