So ya, vote if you'd like...flame if you'd like the post to just keep going on and being long, rude, and funny.

There are a load of people in game that are sweet and all, once you somehow get to know them, but when a new player enters the game he won't be treated with any respect by anyone but a small group of people.
The lesson most new players learn fast is to not ask other players any questions, because the only thing that will happen is that they are mocked and called a noob. Truely welcoming environment if you ask me, I am amazed some newer players still stick around trying to learn the game.
Along with rude people you also find a whole lot of dishonest ones, which is the really sad part. People who abuse other people's trust and naive nature to advance in a game, people who will abuse bugs forever instead of reporting them, people who will throw away rl friendships over a game.
I am glad that I found those few honest and friendly people left and that I can call them my friends.

krhmm ... playing nightmist was a wrong word from me there, it was just accidentally left open while i was doing my "afternoon excercises".That would be Cule, he is the only one who has admitted to jacking off and playing Nightmist at the same time. Just wrong, totally... utterly... WRONG

I have to agree with all of that.Well, I am one of the so far 2 people that voted for rude.

I think it's awesome that you'd be the one to bring up Nightmist's mentally disordered...and theres also a good portion of them that lack sanity as well
As a note---I definately should've had "On drugs" as one of the options....i think that's basically a kind of attitude.

-closet -narcacist -strong napoleon complex +alcohol=mei said conceited, but i think "closet pornaholic narcacist with a strong napoleon complex" would be more accurate, depending on their opnness to their addiction to porn.

a bad mood i'd say. Should stick with in-character roleplaying i bet they don't constantly yell at people and call them newbs do they. It's more like.. "Darn peasants..."I said unwelcoming as that's what stands out to me when I first joined. It was my first MUD so I was lost and had no clue what I was doing. Now that I've made friends with some people I feel much more welcomed though I had only played one other MMORPG before and the people there were extremely into roleplaying, staying in character, working together, etc. so it was a huge mood change coming here.

It's not that no-one in Nightmist is caring. Several players have always seemed to care for others, or at least have shown care to me.
Really, everyone on Nightmist cares about people, just not people on nightmist. Then you have the fact that people consider being pked as an act of being mean and stuff...so in turn don't think most care at all.
What I really dislike is people saying I 'hate' them. There is not a player in Nightmist whom I hate. There really aren't even people that I dislike. I dislike how some people play and act, but no one acts like a turnip all of the time, so I don't dislike them, simply avoid them at the times.
I will PK anyone I don't know most of the time. If that means I kill you a few times in a week; don't think I dislike or hate you. I simply am focusing on where you train or training there myself.
I am very overly hostile in sections that I train in...especially if I have crits logged there. Even more so if I have crits logged there to train.
As another note- I basically only train on the 2nd floor of the museum, unless I am training really hard or something---then it's all about Harabec, lol.
Peace guys,
Gaddy

Welcome to nightmist....It's annoying how incredibly gay some people can get ::not homosexual, or happy, slang gay, so don't kill me for using that term:: See I shouldn't have had to do that...I ask for help and I get a "stfu nub". Wow...Thanks man...Now I know exactly what I'm doing...........
This is one of the reasons i got bored of making the nightmist station. Because no matter how much i would try to help people, it's not like it would make the main community better, and it's not like i'd get much appriciation for it anyway.
The other reason is that i got ChronicalGames.com specifically for my games.
Bah, is that the time? i'd love to stay and laugh at people but i must dash to college
