This also happened with all of his rangers rapidfiring at the exact same time..

there was some lag, but my ping was like 100
...

i paged him asking why he clicks to fast, and he said, 'Its a trick in WinXP..'

could this be bannable?

Similar to a problem that was sorted with a previous not advertised update.. It wasn't bannable then, even though JLH knew who was using it and when they were too.

"rapid firing" if you read what you pasted, each ranger was firing duel shots, and not rapid fire, and thus with 5 stam what you pasted can be entirely possible without using any trick at all.

It is very possible, but also highly unlikely that a person running 5 crits would use 1 stam per crit while attacking.

Would be nice to have this looked into. Given that the stam trick was taken out of the game this would be unfair for those that don`t use XP if the statement that it is a trick with XP is true.

easy to do, set Fx macro to /cast dual shot/user on every crit, hold down Fx key, click each nightmist window on the taskbar

It is not a Win XP secret or a trick. I could do this on Win ME when I had it. It is a Win command where you use two buttons to switch windows on the task bar.

lol, shane knows how i did it, so do several other people, i just do it once in a while for fun, i was showed how by a friend, its what i use to attack with and why i can attack so fast, what JLH said might be possible but its not what i did

Oh btw Satterlee, i didn't say it was a WinXP trick, someone else yelled that, i didn't reply, cause as far as i know it can be used in other versions, though i haven't tested myself.

Myrdon isnt one to cheat. He isnt a hacker so i believe what hes saying. There are several ways to do what hes talkin about you just gotta know what your doing. It has nothing to do with any hacks just what kind of operating system you use.

Well it appears there is no wrong in using it. It just seems unfair for those not running the OS's it works with. I doubt that he uses it all the time. He is a good dueler without the "cheat" so to speak.

But knowledge like this can spoil the game for some. Sorta of like the stam trick. Until I heard about it I couldn`t figure how the heck I kept getting smoked. Things didn't change much after I figured it out other then I then knew how just couldn't stop it...lol

In all fairness it should be removed or become a bannable offense. In normal game play I don't see it as a big deal, but during the PT it could create an issue or a duel in which players have wagered something.

You guys sure that doing that isn't banable?

I use windows XP, but I tile my boxes---to where they're diagonally going down from left to right---and click the corner of each box (when I have macros set up--like bosses), or I click the picture of whatever I want to attack. If i don't have macros i have to click my way back to the start so that each box can see the pictures again (since they cover one another after clicking).

Going this way (and using f1-f12 to heal for blue dragon) the server said something odd was happening---because of apperently overly fast healing and attacking.

JLH paged me about the server picking up on 'supspicious' activity. If he paged me, and he has a program on the server that looks for the quickness of attacks and heals, then it is probably against the rules to have something do your playing for you or whatever.

Its not really a stam trick, its getting your windows switched fast enough to make the all look like they are hitting at once. Take notice to the types of crits it works best with.

And like I said earlier, I believe it is all versions of Windows. I know it can be used on Win2000, WinNT, WinME, Win98, and WinXP. I have been on each of those and used it, not playing NM on all but I could use it to switch from Adobe Photoshop, and other programs I used to do web code.

This "cheat" or "trick" as some people are calling it is used plenty, i could name several people besides myself who use it, i don't see why all of a sudden people consider it a problem, its been used for quite a while now

It's a very common keyboard command, nothing new. While I've never used it for that purpose, I use it to switch from fullscreen games and such like.

First off, like others have said, this can be done many ways, a automated program so you set off your macro's on all characters super fast, or simply what JLH said. But there is -no- way to prove someone just doesnt have super fast fingers, So I highly doubt anyone will be ban unless they admit to it or JLH puts in some way to detect automated programs.

If you have been using a computer long enough this should be common knowledge. Like Myril I know serveral ppl who have played the game for years that use it.

I've always alt+tab between crits, in fact it never even crossed my mind that it might be an unfair advantage as I've always used it in all areas of my life that I use a computer, work etc. (in fact I'm typing this in work, and I alt+tab away from this screen everytime my boss is near! o.0).

But I play on a laptop and alt+tab isn't that easy or fast, and my left hand is a claw to prove it! Unless you're a concert pianist.

Alt + Esc is about the fastest way i can think of, but really i'm too lazy to do that and let my mouse do the clicking from crit to crit.

must be something in my settings cuz my alt+tab won't go to the enxt screen unless i rpess tab twice so i use my mouse to switch screens so im able to hold my macro button down with my other hand. but then again i am a n00b and never use alts

Pretty sure it's holding down alt+esc. It should be removed because it's the hell gay. It is quick and in a suprise encounter it takes away that split second you see them hitting a particular alt and heal his arse or consume lots of pots.

Wow. I never knew about ALT+ESCAPE! That is definately something to remember.
