Pandilex's thread titled "Remember The Old Days?" got me to thinking of that ever so popular clan Removed for being Inappropriate. And also inspired this next amazing idea.

The following with get you placed in this clan:

1) Any crit banned for longer then 1 day for breaking any rule in the game.

2) Any crit that recieves 3 day bans

3) All crits that are in an account that has been banned for the actions of 1 of the characters in the same account in which the ban was longer then a week.

Now the kickers:

1) Once a character or account is placed in Removed for being Inappropriate that character/s can not be sold or removed from the clan.

2) The clanhouse is no larger then 1 room. A pub in which they can local.

3) And the clan will never be ranked. Members and character scores will not factor into the over rank of the clan.


I think this idea will make players think twice about abusive language, theft, scrolling, etc...

Flame it, Improve on it. Just don't go smack talking and make Crane lock it...lol

Interesting suggestion... almost like a prison for unruly crits... but will there be any chance for them to redeem themselves, or is their sentence indefinite?

it's probably not a good thing for this idea, but i'd try and join that clan. it sounds like it could be fun.

however, if you remove /toggleloc, and /nopk... well hell that'd be even more fun!

heres the set up id like to see

its basically like what ud get at school or sumthin the little trend

k for cursing being unruly etc


1st offense dayban
2nd offense 2 day ban
3rd offense week ban
4th offense month ban
5th offense if they still wont stop = perm ban


and for stealing

if the person is caught stealing whether the person stolen from gets stuff back or not the person who stole should be perm banned on the spot right there.. THERE IS NO NEED TO STEAL ON A DAMN GAME!!!

thats the list of disciplinary actions id like to see id say it would stop ppl from being as offensive and off going wit curse words etc whenever they want and it stops all the account stealings that nothing is being done about.........

Well, I'd rather not see quite such strict things about theft.

Think about this-
No one can 'steal'. So if you share with someone, you are stuck forever or you start over---otherwise it is theft by most players' standards.

If we have no threat of things being taken, everyone can share and have gobs of people with friends accounts running around. It'd be annoying...seriously.

If no one has your password, no one can take your account from you.
It's that simple.

Well if we view it as a prison then yes they would be given a second chance. Now this might be going way off the deep end with this whole idea but here goes.

If we view this idea as sort of a prison then we will need a parole board so to speak. So I suggest a 5 person panel to review the cases. Possibly having the group of 5 made up by 4 players and 1 staff member. Staff being there to ensure that things are handled the way they should be.

Sentances will then need to be handed out if we go this way with it. And because of the complexity of it and the need for some sort of programing to ensure the character can't be removed from the clan nor sold we would need JLH to act as the sentancing Judge and Warden. I think 30-90 sentances are reasonable. Altho JLH himself will have the final say so, and can extend any sentance longer then 90 days if he feels the crime deserves a longer punishment.

Now for the kicker. When a person is due for review they will need to submit a 500 word essay to the persons appointed to the board. The essay needs to include all the reasons they feel they deserve to be placed back into the general population. All board members will then submit thier answer either yes or no to JLH with a brief reason why and he can either unban the character or simply email the person with the word Denied (just like in the real world...lol)

Thefts of accounts are peoples own faults you give out password you give out rights to complain getting your stuff jacked.. I wouldnt trust my own wife to have any off my pass, she a thief.. 9 weeks ago she stole some stuff from me now she pregnant o.0..

But, Curseing bans I do with they had a stricker and stamble way of handling it.. Because like the other day I got 3 day ban for saying butt.. They should have a system where you know how long you're going to be banned Like deadman remarked i would consider those fair.. But, open to a weekly event thought.. It wouldnt be right to get 4 strikes in one year and 4 years later get your 5th strike and get perma ban..

but... i just want to be in a clan of obnoxious jerks that i can hunt down and slaughter at will... how about they have one parole officer? i'll volunteer myself. now, i'll take anyone i want with me, but i could mercilessly slaughter my new clannies until they no longer care about death or advancement, and then i'll decide whether they're ready for parole.

it'll be rehabilitation. i love it.
