Ok, I'm new to nightmist, but not to MUD's or roleplaying or computers by any means.



BUT, seems I still can't work an install file. Whne I try to install nightmist (I've used every mirror) and says it can't locate the richtx file. Is this normal, or am I just hopelessly screwed?

Do you have a firewall raised or a proxy server between you and your ISP? That might be blocking the download.

richtx32.ocx is copied to your windows\system folder by nightmist, do you get any errors duing the install process?

google for the file and download it somewhere and then install it in the directorty jlh just told you

Well, It gets weirder...the game runs fine. I lack the file, and it freaks out on me during install, but the game is still running smoothly...is the file not as essential as it leads me to believe? or will I get screwed over later on

if the game is working then its workin...play lol

my guess is that you do have it but that you have some settings so it won't allow the installer to overwrite it. if it works now it keeps working. it's not like there are gonna be any insane graphics suddenly.
