Aside from the fact that Boots of Faith are generally far more expensive than Boots of Time, when would I use one pair over the other, depending on the race and class of the crit who is going to use them?

Is it just me or are you missing something damned obvious?
There isn't really a comparison between Times and Faiths- their both wisdom mods but their other attributes are different.
Boots of Time are used for things that dont care about the dex and want the wisdom and charisma like people who farm for money with pacifists ('cause tey want the charisma) and maybe things like clerics because they dont hit things anyway, and the wisdom will help their healing (and the char might even give it a bonus)
Boots of Faith are used by those who don't need charisma and who don't want to lose their precious hitting stuff/dodging stuff abilities.
Things like Mages- who dont need charisma, whos dexterity probably matters even though they dont hit but who want the wisdom attack bonus, things like druids- for whom wisdom can make their spells damn harsh and still allow thier dexterity to be pretty high, and Cranes who want to avoid being swatted by keeping thier precious dextrerity high
So sorry and all mate, but I don't see the point in your question- what a waste of time, and then me answering too, sheesh >:-(
I thought you said you were going to uni or something- shouldnt you be studying?
Come on! Wake up and smell the Rakajeno!

Churchward completely overlooked the ac difference of the two items, so just made himself sound like a total prat
I personally use Boots of Time on my clerics/Mage (well, would). I have Faiths on my Druid for the time being, but will put Times on him later on.
Obviously, Rangers, Fighters and I think Paladins haver better boots to wear (as these classes are all ac dependant)

I'd say use boots of faith if boots of time will take you under 19 dex...
Use boots of time if you'll have 19+ dex with them on.
(as for rangers and other classes that don't use wis for anything other than defense from magic, vindicator's boots...)
Except for maybe a ling fighter---I may put boots of time on Lancaster.

I was considering putting Boots of Faith on my Elf Druid and Human Paladin, both with 19 Dexterity.
