I've recently got into stop motion movies, and i've been playing about with the feature on my webcam. A few of my animations can be found here...

well, the toy soldiers one took me a while, as you have to move each peice a tiny bit at a time, and getting them to stay in certain positions is very hard lol. Now i know why they do it with plasacine (walace and gromit, Chicken Run etc.).

oh yeah, and congrats on the coca cola sponsorship.

bah, it's a shame they don't use cocain in cola anymore, else you would have made a fortune.

Anyway, i'm trying to encourage people to make some stop motion. If you have a logitech webcam, or any webcam that has the stop motion feature, try out some stop motion animation and send them in. I'll gladly host them for you if they need hosting.

I have a logitech...got all kinds of stuff on it, like zoom and whatever..no clue what stop motion is though..im guessing you record and put it on pause?

That said, no angelus, you don't just pause it, it's like taking snapshots, moving the peices a tad bit, taking a snapshot, and repeat ^.^

Angelus, if you load up your webcam program, it might be under "Create Animations", then you just click "Setup" or whatever, and then you can choose from 2 (or more depending on your software) options.

I'm using the QuickCam software and webcam. It would be interesting to see what kind of things people came up with. If anybody collects lego, it would be interesting to see some legomation.

man those are really good. I wish I still had the one I made for my wife (girlfriend at the time). I had an aladin doll stack up blocks to spell out "Adam loves Nicole". then he knocked them down and stacked them up to read "Will you marry me?"
