So we were talking in cc today about how much of a pain it is to get iron shards. I propose that maybe a way to mine iron/steel/and copper shards be added to coldmonger mines. I'm not suggesting taking away the drops from the monsters, but to have an alternative way to get the shards. I like having something other to do then killing the same monsters over and over. It would add some more variety to nm.

Thoughts?

Edit: Coldmonger was just the first thing that came to my mind because of the other mining done there.

Makes sense. And might get more people involved in coldmonger.

i think this would be more of a solo expansion to nm its a PK server with a maximum of 1 character? or is it just a kiss as$ server to get stuff done?

nothing is ever added that benefits 1 person spending lots of time doing something to prevail. those are where most of the nerfs come in. armoire 4x drow archers etc etc. basically punishing those willing to put forth effort.

i like the idea but will staff?

It used to be a PK server. Now it's a "I must get a long with all these people so I can level".

Might as-well make it no pk.

i was thinking along the lines of the same thing a little earlier, and thought what if there were other, more common drops thats could be gathered and traded for 1 of the leveling items needed.

Example Petals for lvl 32. if you say, could take 10 roses(which are fairly common drops and give them to lets say ... gardener, and then gardener gives you one petals.

same could work in other areas, what im thinking behind this is that way if you are in a area getting items, you dont have to target just 1 mob of that area. (kill all mutant beetles but leave cinderbeasts alone cause they arent worth it)
