This is a bit of an experiment, but we'll see how it goes.

A possible future development on the 1-alt server calls for a pair of magic-oriented gloves, and I would like people to forward suggestions for names and descriptions. If all goes well, I'll put the best ones down to a vote later on. A chance to leave your mark! Note that I already have in mind what the stats will be (don't worry, you'll like them!).

Celestial Gloves

Ribbons of midnight blue silk are bound together to create these shimmering gloves. Crafted by the gods themselves, they glow mysteriously as they wrap themselves around your hands, and as they slide across your skin you feel an ancient magic awake and hum through your veins.

Ideally, due to the nature of the area, they shouldn't be divine in origin, although there's nothing really stopping them from being so - probably should have explained that from the start. I would also prefer suggestions to be posted here rather than in-game.

Arcane Wrappings- Strips of an ancient spellbook are woven together to create these simple but mysterious hand wraps. Glyphs of a forgotten language ornament the parchment like cloth and glow with an ancient power. Upon use you start to hear the chanting of a long lost spell, woven through the fabric of space and time, dancing through your ears. Your skin prickles and your mind races, making you wonder if it is beneficial or detrimental to your body.

At first glance these gauntlets appear to be plain leather gloves. Upon further investigation you realize this seemingly useless pair of gloves was crafted from the bindings of no other than _______'s spell book. It is said the gloves now embody the dark magical power imparted by the malevolent spells in the book. Upon equipping the gloves you feel the curses from the archaic book pulsate through your body like poison, as if the soft leather bindings wrapped around your hands were possessing you with the fiendish mindset of ______ himself.


Probably went a little overboard with the non-divineness. But dont exactly know what you want lol.

I can play around with the descriptions slightly to better suit the final area. I admit I have made it difficult on you guys because I'm not wanting to reveal too much about what I'm doing, but at the same time I want to give the opportunity of leaving your mark!

Spellweaver's Bindings

The cloth-like material wound around your forearms and hands feels as light as the air itself, and shimmers as if made of only vapors. It gives off a faint glowing hue around your forearms, the only hint that you're wearing anything on them at all. The weightlessness gives itself gracefully to the enchanter's need for mobility in casting a spell, making the hand and arm movements gracefull and unimpeaded, unlike any other fabric. The true nature of the material is unknown, but it's said that they are made from the souls of the ancient mages themselves, to forever keep them bound to the realm, even after death.

Spellweaver's Handwraps
Treated in a special brew, the leather covers and bindings of ancient volumes are imbued with the remnant magic of the tomes, before being sheered and crafted into these magnificent handwraps. The treated leather is wound securely around the hands and forearms of their bearer, fitting them like a second skin. The handwraps glow with a faint magical aura, enhanced by the magical potency of their new master. Along the leather straps that wind around the hands and forearms are runic symbols, a long forgotten magical tongue, that lends its magic to the handwraps, giving it's wearer added protection from magical attackers.

Spellweaver's Cuffs
Looking like nothing more than a fingerless glove with a large suit cuff on the end, these simple cuffs are imbued with the magical prowess of some of the greatest sorcerers of the realm. The oversized cuff on the end is fastened with a golden cufflink, on each end of the cufflink, an deep ocean blue jewel. The stones on the cufflinks are known as the Stormshadow Gems, each one containing the might and energy of a powerful storm. The jewels seem to glint and glimmer as their master weaves a spell, lending their own energies to the spell.

Spellcaster's Jewelled Bracers
Repelling all dirt and rust, goblin wrought artifacts only take in what makes them stronger. If all the rumors about goblin wrought artifacts are true, then these gauntlets are no different. These jewel encrusted bracers fit snugly around the forearms, glimmering with powerful magic. The stones set into the bracers sparkle and shimmer with intense magical energy. The bracers show no sign of wear or damage, shimmering with their own magical aura. Made of a mythril alloy silver, the bracers are lighter than they look, keeping the spellcasting of their master quick and effortless.
