Anyone who plays main knows that Golden Ankh's are virtually worthless at this point, there is just no one to buy them...so why not make it so you can turn them in to 1 platinum token? Imhotep is still one of the hardest bosses in the game (top 5?) and is a daily spawn and has a practically worthless drop while you can trade mithril swords for 1 token? seems stupid to me

doing this will make it so you can easily get 500k for a golden ankh, which is still low, but its better than the 0 you can get right now

Not affiliated with main either, but it sounds like something I'd support. Although I would refrain from calling current situations stupid tho.

A single Platinum Coin has a value of 500,000 gold pieces, and this will set a minimum price on the Golden Ankh (which should really be about 800,000 gold pieces). I would suggest 2 Platinum Coins for the Triangle of Thunder too, although this might not be rare enough to warrant it.

There are a number of items that, in my opinion, would greatly benefit from Masashi's trading, and would like to suggest a staff review on it.

Long story short... supported.

umm lets get trev on this...?

other items that could potentially get under consideration for being traded in for coins:

Spyglass 1
Cerulian Periapt (resca drop) 2

Just to make sure theres a minimum value on those 2 also

if you ask me the main issue is that out of the 12 platinum token items, 5 are from tirantek....a little too tirantek heavy

Looking at the original concept, I requested that Gauntlets of Virtue and Golden Ankh be added to the list. GoV were, but the Ankh was not. It was not specifically stated that it would not be added, but I do not think it was merely overlooked...
Cerulian Periapt is a 2 stat mod amulet. I don't think there are enough of them in-game or coming into the game to make them traded for Platinum Coins. I also think Spyglasses are used often enough to not be distributed via Platinum Coins. Perhaps a coin or two for Feral Choker, but that's really getting off the point of the coins.

The Platinum Coin addition was not really intended to boost the value of items. The idea is that it maintains a value and a constant use for such items. So I don't agree with making quite so many items used as trade-in equipment.
The whole idea is that select items are used to aquire coins that are traded for high-end equipment. The more items that trade, the less time it will take for the system to break---and it will eventually be used up, I think. It won't take entirely too long for players to get the equipment for all of their mains.

Perhaps Golden Ankh, Triangle of Thunder, Spyglass, Feral Choker, and other drops of the sort can start a different trend, like being used to make lower level/base damage vampiric weapons like Dagger of the Winds or the sort for each class?
I think that could be another major item draw on the Multi Server.

I think you would be well off making a suggestion in that direction, rather than basing it in a previous balancing system.

PS- To my understanding, Trevayne is on a break. So working with a new system would help in that sense as well. It is generally not acceptable to alter a staff member's additions without consulting them, even former staff member's additions.
So a new system would work best in that sense as well.

Maybe making some of those items suggested to have a base price by making them able to be sold at a pawn shop could be a good idea.
