The once everything is done, balanced and conquered, we can think about working on new areas, and decide wether or not 1A even needs them.

Yeah, 1a is definately for social people. . . Main is more of a loner server.
Yes if I wanted to socialize at a specific time I wouldn't be playing a computer game
Also my endorsement goes to Alan.

1)Both players have vast knowledge of the game
2)Both have reached beyond their clans and know the playerbase well.
3)Both have and understanding of some of the current unbalances of the game and have made suggestions on how to fix them regardless if their chosen class was tweaked.
4) Both have very diffrent playing styles as well as class preferences. I like looking at things from both sides. Two objective views coming to 1 common solution sounds hot.
5) And trust is huge in this position. And they are some pretty stand up guys even if they have asshole tendencies.

I would take the job if offered to me, i like to think i know most of this game, although there are a few things i can learn. My strongest point is probobly area design, a few staff members have seen some of my idea's and there has been positive review.
To those of you who don't know if im dedicated, i've played for a very long time, and have gone through the up's and down's, but i'm still here.
Whatever happens happens, but, i would really like the opportunity to change the game with a group of other dedicated people.

The only people I ever came across who take the game for what it is are Walt and Serg. I've been enemies with most of the 1a server, but Walt and Serg are the only two people who haven't reacted to being attacked all the time by either being abusive, crying like a little girl or acting superior and making snide comments.
Walt and Serg make good enemies and allies so they must have a good understanding of the concept of playing a game whereas the rest of the server is perhaps too personally involved with each other and treats Nightmist like a chatroom where they argue about non-game things and so become incapable of separating the game from their personal lives.
Perhaps staff should be chosen based on their attitude to gameplay rather than a popularity contest?

On a side note, if you are going to overhaul the server, I would suggest making every class start with 4 perfect stats (mage intel as opposed to str and cleric char as opposed to str), then perhaps give away stat points on high level achievements or just on set high levels. This wouldn't require much of a coding change, and I know from myself as well as plenty of others, that when playing a game that has a roller you always want perf stats, if it takes too long I'd rather never start then get into it with a half assed character.
Hard to attract new players if they never set foot in the game.

Nah, but I guess if you want another staff member with an inflated idea of their self importance then I suppose that's the way to go.

I thought about mentioning you Sergi, but I then realised that you would find all of the femal IP addresses and get their name, address, phone number, and stalk them ungodly.Nah, but I guess if you want another staff member with an inflated idea of their self importance then I suppose that's the way to go.

Another person who deserves mention is Angelus, although he can come off a bit pushy sometimes, he likes to get things done, and that is a great quality to have imo. And as we have seen in the past, he is handy with web building, which could be a good asset to have.
Alex would also be a good decision, he's got lots of great idea's, and is already slightly experienced on what it takes to be a sysop.
I believe any of the above would be a good move for the progress of the server.
On a side note, i think Alan, Alec, and Myself would make a very good team, i'm not sure how many people you are willing to hire, but, between the 3 of us i think we could put some real effort into this server, and maybe turn it around, whatever the cost's may be.
Also, if Alan and i work together, you could expect some super cool stuff to come out

I believe he turned me into a goat when he was a Syop on ToA. Very abusive. I would sponsor Alex if he didn't have such a command.....

Actually, your warning is too late, my friend. I just happen to work part-time at my university's library and have a complete access to personal data for all the students: phone numbers, home addresses, etc. That is over 10,000 people to stalk, why I'd need more.

Alec, I must say, you were the best chicken ever (basically he couldn't attack, and everything he typed came back as "cluck cluck cluck"). I remember messing with Chris/Ste the most on ToA, they were the fastest to lvl and reported some bugs I had to fix in my areas (scripting NPCs mostly, the only thing I really had to "learn"). Rest assured, anything I did/would do as a staff of any game would be harmless fun with the playerbase. I believe staff should always interact with the playerbase, I have no reasoning why, but most people who play Nightmist agree, hanging with a staff as they do anything is fun. I always remember people flocking to places where staff would sit.
Since I sent my application to Pandilex directly, I thought I'd post something here for everyone to see. A little bit about me to those who know nothing or little about me, I am the Alex. I have been playing Nightmist since December of 2001, just before I turned 11. I've quit a few times, but no more than 2-3 months each time; I couldn't stay away. I grew up with this game, I love it, and I won't stop playing till I'm the last person logging on. My passion for Nightmist is high, even though I can't explain why.
As for my capabilities...
I can't say I'm a extremely smart, but I have great concept skills and a strong sense of logic. Since my experience with Nightmist is high, I believe, coupled with my logic, will allow me to greatly help balance the game with the other selected staff members. It would also help in future area development, making sure new content works well with the old.
My creativity is great as well. Coming up with cool sounding names, writing up a story, describing something, all are very fun to me. This is the main reason I applied, I want to be an area developer. If I get said position, I can assure everyone I will enjoy what I do, and will actively do it.
Contrary to what Simon said before, I wouldn't too much care what the playerbase thinks of my decisions as staff. If I am investigated, so be it. I'm not the creator of the game and I expect to be questioned about what I do. In no way could the playerbase cause me to quit, so I guess that's a plus?
I guess that's me.

but yeah, I wouldn't nominate JP/Tony due to them not knowing most area's ingame or them even having the proper intelligence to design an area.
I'd go with Alan/Serg/Alex/Alec/Gareth/Jess.
Only 6 people without any bias.

Tbh you're just attempting to flame for the sake of it. It's not even a good flame. I'll warn you now - you want me as staff? You know I live on the forums? You realise that I WILL forum ban you for comments like this? Like you say, I have no bias...I wouldn't nominate JP/Tony due to them not knowing most area's ingame or them even having the proper intelligence to design an area.
I mean gosh, you have no style, it's not witty, funny, intelligent...
