What's with the insane lag on Nightmist going on and off every 5 minutes

Internet has been down at our house, so my laptop--only thing with NM on it now---can't connect to anything.

I am having a problem aswell. Well i click to log off a crit. it sometimes stays logged on for like a minute. If i were in a bad situation... whats to stop it not logging off then and losing all my hard earnt exp. I think we have some kind of bug...

Happens to me all the time, I yell on a alt to /kick piggy when it happens

Also somtimes when try log in the account manager sticks and crits can get killed before you even see it, if you were kicked at a spot with monsters,

loosing more exp than normal

...so this is the same lag flare, or people are just talking about instances that have happened before?
I've had the same things happen---poor log offs and log ons that caused monsters to kill characters----with the system running fairly normally.

Exactly, its all pretty normal with my pings under 100ms, then I log off crits and randomly, not every time, some of them just dont log off untill 30 secs - 1min (estimated) later. Kinda annoying when I'm in a pkable place and wanting to log off..

I had that before, but now I press 'Quit' at the top bar instead of pressing the cross and seems to work for me.
