A New Class For The Next Nightmist..

I played this game in the very beginning in 01 and now look how far this game has come. New classes like zerker and pacifist but they all hold weapons or use magic to attack opponets. Im not a real big nerd but i have played my fair share of games. I would like to put together a chara class that would be a little different from what is there now.

FLint is a Male Dwarf Adept Monk. He looks extremely strong, wise, fast, and average looking. In both hands he has his bare fist. He has been slightly wounded.

I am willing to do most of the work to program and get all the little details up and going. They wouldnt be able to carry weapons just attack and possible do a little bit of magic. Such as improve str, or con, or dex. I dont know if anyone has else played a monk in dnd but i have enjoyed playing them and found many ways they are interetsing charas to train and lvl. This is just an idea if you like please let me know and i will work out as many little details about the class and how they would train and stamina issues and hp issues. I would make up the armor for them and even develop an area for them to have as their own.

If you dont like the idea please let me know also so maybe i can work out a way that they could be better or fix it so you do like it. please let me know what you think. thank you for your time and have a good day.

Well thanks for replying... i just recently came back to the game. so im not sure of all the updates and all the new stuff. so that gives me a good idea on whats going on right now in nightmist. Thanks again.

Well its for either or... just the fact of having the monk class in the game and playable is what im shooting for...

I believe that the plan for Nightmist II is to have a class-less system, where the skills You learn in-game dictate what You become, but since there are a thousand and one different combinations of learning skills, whichever way it is set up, there will be many different classes. For example, learning the skills of a Cleric and Fighter will make one a Paladin, while learning some skills from a Mage and a Cleric, and maybe some of a Druid will make one more Shaman-like... we'll see... Monk sounds on a similar par with a Cleric, so is not all that outlandish.

Well hmm i guess my idea is bs cause non of the staff like it and jlh hasnt said anything.. i like it when they are to busy to see when help is offered they turn retarded and power hungry.. great... this game hasnt changed one bit...

there is nothing wrong with suggesting ideas, but you're right, i'm far to busy to read and respond to every post on the forum, if the staff see a good idea that they themselves think will work in the game, it will be brought to my attention in case i have missed it.
something big like new classes is not likely to happen for a while, but could in the future, they are not simple things to add, also i fear it would be too similar to other classes.

i'm not sure though where your "retarded and power hungry" comment comes from towards staff, since not a single staff member has posted on your thread.

malhavoc and crane have played this game for many years, and what they say is generally accurate.

If things are to complicated right now to be able ot have that i can help fix or work on anything.. this game hasnt really changed since the first time i started playin... in 01 one its the same concept.. items are all the same for low lvl charas... i would be willing to come up with those and descriptions also...

Three hints:

1) If you want staff to take your contributions seriously, posting in complete sentences and with correct grammar is essential.

2) Flaming staff randomly is not the way to get us to listen to you. In fact, random accusations of cheating is a sure way to get us to ignore you completely.

3) Don't expect staff to come begging you for ideas. The forums are flooded with "dood make necros/monks/undead" posts that go absolutely nowhere. If you think you have great ideas for the game, then post them. Put in some effort and show us that you understand how the game works and how to balance an idea against existing work in game. If you aren't willing to put in the time, you're not worth listening to either.
