Going Out On A Limb For Nm 1alt Game

This suggestion is a complete turnaround for Nightmist and Could change the way people view it.

This suggestion is for the 1 alt game only.

The Current maximum Stats of the classes are: Dwarf 21 18 18 21 18 17, Elf 18 21 19 18 20 21
Human 19 19 19 19 19 19, Gnome 17 21 20 18 19 18, hafling 18 19 21 18 18 19, Halfelf 18 19 19 19 19 20,
Half orc 22 16 15 22 14 15, << not sure on H-o's

My suggestion is that this be the maximum stats that we can roll but, not the maximum stats Possible for that characters lifespan. Allow us to improve our character Statistics, skills and spells.

As the character gains its level it would gain a certain ammount of Attribute points that it could add to its (Str intel dext const wisd char) and improve the Character's Performance and Life/mana gains. That way the character could really be Archmaster when its Archmaster. or Expert when its expert. And this could open the door for Stat required Items. That there should be anyways According to howmuch Stats we can add to our character you can add to the current system you have. and put Statistic Requirements as you see fit to each weapon.

This could give Nightmist a Great new Improvement that would seperate nightmist 1 alt from nm solo not just with higher level cap but with Attribute points and possibliy add spell/skill points that you use to improve your skills/spells.

How would you do this?

Take the current cost of each spell and break it down according to however many spell points it takes to cap it.

How would this Help the game?

It would Improve our character's Performance, Life/mana gains. It would allow for us to Actually Train our character to its Maximum Potential and it would Give Nightmist a whole nother Level of playing field.

When I read this first think that pops in my head is a zerker with like 30 dex and a mage with like 30 intel... *drool*

Sorry only think I can think of atm, will post something better after...

I probably didnt explain it good enough on my first try soo here is a visual of My first post.

Or an actual acting of the idea.

You have increased in level and have gain 10 health points and 10 mana points.
You have gained 2/5 Attribute points and 1 skill point (every other level)and 1 spell point (every other level based on class).

My current stats are at level 1, 18 12 21 17 18 16 Hafling Initate Ranger.
You have Increased in level and have gained 8 health points and 2/5 attribute points and 1 skill point
Now you I can make it 21 12 21 17 18 16
or 18 12 21 18 18 18. Or however I would like to distribute my stat points.

The skill/spell points are for a later developement.

Not something we need would make crits to overpowerful, we don't need mages with any more intel the way it is besides an ammy. And we don't need zerks with a ton of str or rangers with a ton more dex.

You are not understanding the point of this post. Because it is a 1 alt game the characters Need more str/dext/wisd to survive against thes mobs on their own. Unless y ou are going to depend on your Friends cleric or paladin to train up your character we need a better alternative than that. and This is why I suggest this. and how would it be overpowered? if all classes can do the same thing?

It's not needed.. we are supposed to do this server through team work this will help in doing it by ourselves plus we don't need mages with 30intel rounding us in like 2 stam or zerks rounding us all the time because of 30 some str.. you took the idea to far.

given this would overpower things way too much, maybe if it were like 1 stat point every 10 levels or something. tony shuts every idea down, so dont even bother trying to argue with him. but maybe increasing stats once every 10 levels = +4 max at 40.

that would seem fairly reasonable and not overdo it.

Changing maximum stats would make balancing other parts of the game extremely difficult. Not supported.

Cause being able to add max stats wouldn't make 1alt people more powerful pvm which we need and keep pvp the same if all crits get one.</sarcasm>

I agree with one every 10 levels, people will still want high stats so they can make them even crazier.

The only possible bad effect I see is zerks could add all 4 points to dex (which doesn't seem at all too unlikely) and use rage to either have high str, normal dex or normal strength, high dex, neither going below normal.

Supported, It would not make the game unbalanced if there was like Max Stats, like you could only add a cetain stat so much, and the Hp/Mp's and amount of mana used for spell casting would all increase.

Nah, I would actually like to just be given a few 6 stats, exp, and some bonus points....but could someone also make gold for me?
Yea, we should have granted stats, large bonuses, and a system of interest to where gold grows on an exponential scale.
This wouldn't be bad because everyone would have the same advantage.

as a matter of fact, why bother with worrying about gold, just completely eliminate it and make everything that you can buy in a shop cost zero gold. while you're at it, change the roller so you can modify the stats yourself and make a six stat just by typing in a few numbers. but why stop there? while you're at it, just make every monster and boss not hit back when you attack them. that'd make everything so much easier. oh and why not multiply the base damage on all weapons by ten.. no one likes having to click on monsters more than once or twice
