eee this was my point exactly.. i was saying to emma it was a good idea about the crafting but like usual it is always the same people doing the halloween/christmas quests...

However i dont actually agree this year. i think its been great... its been more accessible to more people. everyone could give it a go. i was on 20 alts most of the time tho i guess that was more for quickness sake.

just hope it stays open till at least tommorrow night so i can have a chance to finally craft my last 2 things. never have time in this parteh season :)

GOOD JOB EMMA

p.s. sorry about my pesimism before!

There have been quite a few things people with lower levels could do, the gravestones don't hit back and i've watched a few people on level 20's club together and kill one, there are mini bosses which drop special items in nopk areas, i've seen people running about killing things on pacifists of lower levels and i have seen lower level parties killing tortured souls outside of towns. There arent really enough players to make it so it isnt the same old people doing the quests but this year there has been a wider participation and not all the prizes are level 30 orientated.

The quest was intended to be different, and it was a gamble but I think it has been pretty sucessful.

Basically, if you were unable to participate, it was from lack of effort, not design.
Muchless, where's the attempt at gathering people together to help you, such as making a post to try to co-ordinate a group or something.

No, you just have to complain about it...cause NM is no place for people to think about trying to work through something instead of blaming the creator.

I didn't participate in it but thanks emma. The lag was just too immense for me to try. But I've heard so many good things from it, and seen some nice variations to amor/weapons.

Grassy Meadow: You're standing in a large, grassy meadow. You can go West, North, and East further into the meadow, or step onto a small path which leads to the City of Nightmist South.
A Deer, Tortured Soul, Tortured Soul, Magimox and a Deer Meat are here with you.
A Tortured Soul lets out a fearless shriek, injuring you for 67 points of damage.
A Tortured Soul lets out a fearless shriek, injuring you for 72 points of damage.
You went South.

no compliants, just wondering what the less than arch could do?

Have you tried to get ahold of people to go with you?
Do you have more than a single character?

Quests on NM require you to have a good bit of power or to be willing to team up with people.
We cannot make them easy enough for one person on a couple of mid-level crits to complete because people with 20 arches online would just ravage it all too easily.

/t Rosso yeah the tortured souls were smacking up the little alts, but if u stack ur own party well, its not that big a thing. Try training in the desert like I did with 3 tortured souls and 2 scorps on 1 square lol +lag. But its nice to have something new on the crits 'monsters killed' list. Goes to show who is participating and going out there. But thanks again for staff invloved in making the quest :)

Well, last year, the concept of crafting wasn't available, so big bosses was the only way I could go with it, along with a custom-made town, Halloween-themed costumes and a big-money casino (before the one in Silversail was set up). I have to say though... despite the dark and nearly unreadable colour scheme along with quite a few spelling mistakes (I know... perfectionist, I am!), it was fun as everyone, not just the top players, could have a go at it.

My only concern was that the Tortured Souls prevented any low-level training in many of the favourite training spots, especially the Forest of Souls, which I'm sure would have upset or confused some novices.

No dude the lag was to bad to even leave town with low level crits.
(btw i consider low levels 1-20)

sorry cant train with lag even if the pkers are busy. :)

Yes, this year was a blast for the little bit of time I got to participate unlike most years. I miss the high risk casino because I made and lost millions in there. I liked the crafting of the items however dont really like the fact I couldnt find a blade of time to buy and I had all the other items :). The first thing I did was kill the werewolf easy to get to and a nice drop for the 10-15 minutes it took me on 10 thieves 1 cleric. Then by some help I found the entrance to halloween quest, within the first 30 minutes I earn a halloween charm. I gave The Devil some hard licks for about 2 or 3 hours got my bones and even killed the enchanted mummy twice. Once I solo'd it on 4 arch clerics (took me 20 minutes) the second time had some help from Crane :) who invited me to help him. Alot of team work, maybe two unrully anti-social players I experienced other then that great works and thanks to all staff involved.

Was a different quest... since there was a lot to do it was not restricted to just strong players, like with Evil Santa when it came to Rings of Mistletoe and Rings of Noel.

I had one PKing attempt done on me, but survived, and one major lag-out that killed one of my thieves, otherwise I was surprised that I didn't get into any major engagements with other players... there was some annoyance over people kill-stealing Grave Stones and the Ravaged Werewolf, but all in all it was fairly good-natured. I did come across a couple of alt-users PKing each other over Count Dracula, so I snuck in and helped myself to a Tibia on the floor - I know, I'm such a scavenger!

The last hour or so was very tense... I was working flat out to get the 10 Ribs required for a Bone Plate... I got the first 9 fairly quickly, but the 10th would just not appear; then, with literally less than 2 minutes before the monsters were removed, a tenth dropped!

All in all a fun quest, although my only complaint is that the Tortured Souls prevented my low-level clannie from training, since the monsters were far too strong for her and prevented any effective training in the Large Forest, Forest of Souls and many other areas.

P.S. You're welcome, Final Universe!

thanks to Emma for much btw
although i missed it for the most time
i enjoyed seeing as it is more accessible to players in general, has more weapon/armor variation
and not just about hitting a fat thing hoping for a drop

again, ty Emma ^.^

Was a good quest, earnt allot of items in the time i got to play, and shamefully sold on a few bots for stupid amounts of gold but hey, foresight eh lol

And in respect to pking crane, most of us were good natured when it came to killing others - normally i would have been fighting constantly with 80% on the people there but in times of quests we all clad together so we can all enjoy the quest as best we can
