I noticed my screen scrolling not 5 minutes ago and thought to my self 'How can I fix this?' You see, a powerful player in my clan logged off all of his alts, resulting in unwanted screen scrollage, and it bothered me, so I brainstormed for a minute or two and came up with a solution: Clan Tag Notification and Togglable Clan Messages (Heh, the caps make me look smart).

Clan Tag Notification

Basically, I think it would help with game lag and player lag AND scrolling a LOT if there was an option to be notified only when all of the alts with a certain tag log off or when the first alt with a certain tag logs on, for example:

Instead of:

So_and_so has left the game.
So_and_so2 has left the game.
So_and_so3 has left the game.
So_and_so4 has left the game.
So_and_so5 has left the game.

It would trigger something like this after all of So and so's characters (with the same tag, mind you) log off:

(Tag) of your clan has left the game.

Whereas it would look like this:

Soandso of your clan has left the game.

And when a person with a certain tag logs on, it should be the same principle, however only display it once when the first character with that tag logs on.

Togglable Clan Messages

I don't know how the clan messaging system is set up, but I figure that it would be nice if you could set the clan member logging messages to either display it the way it currently does, with every character listed, display it with the tag method outlined above, or not display them at all, that would keep everyone happy.

Please give me some input.
Things would be so much easier if people would only see them my way...

Well, probably just leave it the way it is, perhaps make it togglable as well, in case people on the same square logging off bugs you.

I'm down for anything that causes less lag and makes it less annoying. Supported.

As far as I can tell the topic is to stop clan messages, so it's not going to make a blind bit of difference if you not in a clan because it won't affect you. ;)
Why is it you can sue a cigarette company for cancer, McDonalds for getting fat, but you cant sue Smirnoff for all the ugly people youve slept with?!

How about make it the same system as for when people join parties and all the names go on one line?

What if only half of the crits with the same tag log.

If you wanne code this without too much hassle, there should be a command that you enter and all your crits will log. But this will encourage logging when attacked. So thats no good.

When you keep it the same, pressing the cross to log all your alts, then it will be a pain to code. Plus that you need to log all your alts within a specified amount of time.

I don't see it happening.

/t Deadman That won't work, that command is an instant. Logging different screens isn't. So it's practicaly impossible to occupy 1 line with that. Unless there's a logging command for all your alts but i doubt you people would want that.

Logging then attacking. Its just takes two clicks of the mouse to log off if you got your desktop's set to group's

Or you can hold ALT+4 and it will log off fast..

ending the clan messages of some1 logging on only gives 1 message when the tag is logged on seems like a decent idea but i was thinkin wut if some1 shares wit some1 else and has the same tag then you are only knowing when 1 person in that acct logs on and have no clue that the other acct partners have logged on unless you look to see whos on in your clan...like for example when i log on people know its me due to seeing pack has logged on where as when my acct partner logs on they see humaa_serafine or serial has logged on this also goes for the case with other people who use the same tag like lappa and piggy people in their clan would only know if 1 of them logged on and have no clue if the other logged on too

Usually those in clans whether sharing or not, also share the same clan tag as their account partner. Or they have like mine for example "Thorin and MysticStorm".

Either way, whether or not there are different clan tags or what have ya, it still reduces clutter and I support it. If not this then being able to toggle those messages would be even sweeter.

I could make an option to disable the logon/off messages for the entire game, but I'd be surprised if people wanted to actually use it?

Well, honestly I never pay attention to who logs on, if I need to see if someone is on I just use the # key. I think it would be a nice addition.
